You don't have to plan on heavy off-roading to want or buy an OR. I bought mine, because I'd rather have the rear locker and a-trac for even the remote chance that it could mean the difference in saving my ass from being stuck some day, compared to color matched bumpers and a fake hood scoop. The color matched stuff and scoop in the Sport package just doesn't add up financially to the value added by the rear locker and a-trac in the OR package.

You can buy the color matched bumpers online for not that much if you really want them for an OR. I think dark colors like black and dark blue look great with the chrome trim. All other colors I do like the color matched look better though, if I didn't have dark blue I would've bought the color matched bumpers for my OR. The rear view mirrors and door handles look fine being black, don't think I would even know the difference on those parts if they are black or color matched either way. The black door handles on the OR might actually be better at hiding scratches.

Only reason to go Sport in my opinion is if you really want the long bed. But really it's only a one foot difference in length, no difference in width or height of the bed. So it really isn't much different in volume or total space. I've hauled a full size couch, king size mattress, large dressers, and full sheets of plywood and other wood in my short bed with the tailgate down no problems. If that one foot of bed length really makes a difference for you, then you might want to consider a full size truck in my opinion.

That's the reasoning I used for my decision between a Sport or OR. I'd go TRD unless I was planning on building up a super off-road beast and doing replacement seats with a base or SR5. Sport or OR is what you should be asking yourself. It's only 3k for TRD and your already buying new so go all out man!

I bet your locker doesnt even work when you find yourself stuck in a mud puddle and need it

The locker works great, I lock mine in every once in a while so that it will actually work if I need it someday. First time was hard to get it to lock, but now with a little use it clicks right in every time. And it will take a lot more than a mud puddle to get these trucks stuck in 4wd.

I bought the same truck in May I love mine but I didnt do my research and did not know as much as I do about 4x4s now.

I would of gone TRD off road due to the rear locker and A-trac feature.

Look into an arb rear locker. An arb and yellow wire mod, you'll be good to go!
