I am sincerely hoping someone on this forum can give me some help. I have a 2007 Toyota Tacoma D-Cab TRD OR and my TPMS system is acting up. Here is the story.

12/2013 - All new tires with no change to the TPMS system...everything worked a-okay

3/2014 - On my way to work my TPMS light came on...arrived at work and found a big chunk of metal in my tire...unable to repair, replaced. The TPMS light would not clear and remained on. I went back to the shop and they hooked their scanner up to the truck and found two of the five sensors were no longer transmitting. Given the truck was 7 years old, contributed to dead batteries. No other trouble codes were shown.

11/2014 - I had meant to get this fixed, but weeks turned to months and it is November. I purchased five new Dorman sensors (974-033) and had them installed. The shop called and said they could NOT get three of the sensors to "wake up." I ordered three replacements and they were all installed and each sensor was "awake" and transmitting. However, the shop could not get the light to clear...they said it would have to go back to Toyota as they were not able to get the sensors to talk to the computer.

11/2014 - I took the truck to another shop and they found a trouble code (P00F1). Does anyone know what this means and/or how to fix it? This is making me crazy.

Do you actually want the TPMS's active ? If not there is a super simple one wire mod to kill the dash light and you can just remove all of the sensors.

Well...had I known I could kill the thing I would have. However, since I have invested in new sensors I think I would at least like to get the system working. I am willing to hear how to kill the system though...do tell Evenflow!

Just search for "TPMS bypass", the easiest one is a simple one wire snip and you ground it which fools the ECU so the light turns off and there is no trouble code. I did it 6+ years ago but I remember the wire is behind the glove box and it took all of 5 minutes. They are a valuable safety feature but I had the same probs as you the minute I changed wheels.
