What have you done to your Baja lift, lights, tires, wheels, just trying to see what's available since a few suspension companies state their kits do not work with Baja editions. Thanks

Not really if he is after a lift. U am not a big fan of spacers. But that's my 2 cents. Also you would need to add a leaf to the back.

I fitted the Baja springs to camburg coilovers if that counts as a mod.

i was always curious what is actually different on a Baja suspension? i just always figured it was taller springs and longer struts, basically a coil lift for a normal pre-runner and 4wd? did they actually change the geometry of the suspension to compensate? longer arms, etc?

just curious to the exact specs.

I thought the full lift stock was 2.25. I might be wrong here.

I mean stock like show room stock. They was 2.25 with out any mods. I know with a spacer you can gain some but also would be worried about CV axles.

Well im just trying to accomplish a setup for 285/75/16 bfg a/t ko2 that just came out, without any rubbing issues/concerns.
id love a 3" lift but not if it compromises my Baja components, and I really don't want to downgrade. also I did buy it used but hell of a deal 28k with only 17k miles on it ;)

loss of value after purchasing a new vehicle ie driving it off the lot in your name, vehicle loses its value, that's what I paid for it, not msrp, but what most 4x4 used tacomas go for

Not sure what the aftermarket lift set ups do, but the stock TRD Pro & Baja use longer struts, but from what I have been able to find out, they do not change from the stock bump stops...if you don't have something in the suspension to limit full compression (raised bump stops, stiff springs etc.) you will still hit all of the normal spots at full compression regardless of the lift involved. My rock crawler rarely rubs the tires, but if I get it really crossed up it will just lightly rub the fenders...99% of the time it is a non issue, so I just live with the minor rub on occasion and the fact that if I want to go to 37's I'll have to raise the fenders or limit up travel.

285/75/16 is 33" tall 265/75/16 is 31.8" tall The 265/75's will fit with 0 issues on a stock Pro or Baja suspension (should work on the OR as well)....the 285/75 will most likely hit at some point, so the real question is, how much cutting, chopping, etc. do you want to do to gain an extra 1/2" of ground clearance, or the look of a tire that is 1" taller? If you are not in a hurry, check out how they work on the AC Pro that just put them on....no issues as of yet, but it hasn't been really flexed out either (see links below). Then I've always been in the biggest tire I can fit without raising the truck camp (spending time in Moab will do that to you....low and wide vs taller). In the end it is simply your choice to do what is needed to achieve the look or fitment that you prefer.

So what actually lift does it have on the rear or is it just a lift in the front that the Baja comes with>?

Went with the Toytec AAL progressive leaf kit for 2" and the Baja spacer for 3" front lift, notice a huge difference, less body roll less flex as well but its more predictable on road so that's a plus.

The front bump stops are different on the Baja/Pro than on the standard trucks.
