i have a 06 Tacoma with a intermittent starting problem. Was told it was my neutral safety switch so I replaced it with a new dealer one and that didn't fix the problem. Anyone have any ideas or advice?

    Thanks

I would start with having the battery load tested.

I just aquired an 06 Tacoma v6 4.0L, I had the same problem. I replaced the ignition switch hoping it would resolve but problem remained. Start up remained inconsistent. My truck came with the original alarm system. I finally figured out the inconsistent start problem on my truck. I noticed that if I unlocked both doors by pressing the unlock button on the remote, the truck would always start up. Also noticed inconsistency in start up if I open the passenger door first to allow my lady into the truck. in every case, if I pressed the unlock button twice on the remote control prior to satarting it always starts right up. if you don't have the original alarm system I think unlocking both doors on the door control should work. Replacing the alarm system is probably the nest option to resolve this problem.
