Then when I was talking with the prof he said everyone got bumped up 30%

I got Ds on a few tests in that class and he straight told me it's because I was reading the book LOL. Still came out with an A.

Did they change the size of the scoops for the newer models then?

 

Yes, the 2012 and up have a smaller scoop, but that didn't stop me.

 

Yeah they are a little bit smaller.


Do you actually have a light bar in there or just LED lights?

 

Mine are just LEDs and I had to cut out the back of the scoop. There is no room for a real light bar on the newer scoops.

Well, you could try to put something behind it. I don't think the opening is much more than 3/4" high even after you pull the plastic insert out.

If you end up putting a real light bar that can throw some light, I'm sure a lot of people here would like to see it. Good luck.
