Unfortunately otherwise I woulda loaded up if it was any other round. Hell, I'd almost rather have .45GAP than .40S&W. Okay, maybe not that bad. But if it were 9mm (G17) or .45ACP (G21) I would've stocked up.

Not even sure what that's supposed to mean.

The quality range varies quite a bit from those retired police units. Some you can tell the user took them out quarterly to qualify and then cleaned and returned it safely to it's holster whereas some appears to have been drug through the streets by a rope from the back of their cruiser. Seriously, some were barely still identifiable as firearms.

Anyone can buy Glock 22's. Glock makes most all models in what's called 'Blue label' or LE models. They get their nickname from the blue label on the plastic clam shell case that they come in which also includes an extra mag (3 in total) and run about $100 less. They're available to first responders like LE, mil, state licensed security, judges & GSSF members. Price is just under $100 less than the retail price on the same model.

BTW, Aim Surplus had Gen 3 G22 LE trade-ins for $309. Personally, I wouldn't pay much more than that for an LE trade-in. For something that will out-live you it doesn't make much sense to save a c-note to get brand spankin' new IMO. Just me though.

Oh I know about them I have bought several blue label glocks its the only reason I have ever owned one. I know anyone can but the 22 but the gen 2 is known to be one of the better glocks made and usually snagged up by Leo's.

The city boy comment was meaning you don't get up into the back country a lot. I like having AT&T for that reason the service seems to be better for the most part.

Having owned all generations I can say that the Gen 2 is most certainly NOT the best generation. My money would be on the 3rd gen with 4th being a close second now that they've taken care of the few issues that crept up in the first few production runs. Gen 2 was a step up from Gen 1 but they've all been kick ass firearms w/different lipstick for the most part.

My back yard is the 'back country' and I spend plenty of time out of the city across several states year-round esse.

FWIW, VZW has the best coverage in rural areas of America with a significantly larger number of rural antennas than AT&T who has roamer agreements with VZW for much of it's rural coverage. So there city boy!

You see that pic I posted to facebook of me and Ed Herman last week?

CU fucking blows and should have their football program taken from them entirely. They don't deserve the right to play the sacred sport known as football. I say that as a life-long Husker fan. ;)

I like the glock because of the shit out there for them for sure. I wish I would have kept my 19 to be honest.

You can think what you want about it but I can tell you my ex worked for them and they paid for an AT&T phone for her. And when I'm way out in the middle of know where skiing I've always had service, which is good because sometimes I'm alone. Defiantly you should have one or the other, but I've never had any trouble with AT&T. If you would like I have some snow shoes for you and I'll take you out city boy. :p

I has a 19...it's my winter carry gun when I wear a coat...or my center console gun....otherwise, my KAHR CW9 works great for concealment...I just miss my .40 sometimes.

I have AT&T, and don't plan on ever changing....not to mention the fact, I was 'grandfathered' into keeping the unlimited data plan....so if I change carriers- I lose that.
