I searched but didn't find anything on this. As the title says, I'm looking for a muffler that will make the 4.0 sound just a little more throaty. All of the youtube vids I saw of Tacos with flowmaster, magnaflow, etc just sounded a little too much like civics on crack IMO.

Its really hard to make a V6 sound aggressive.

I don't know about that. The Banks is pretty deep and frickin loud too. My Gibson is deep and throaty too. Depends on the muffler size too.

My neighbor has a Taco Sport that has a Flowmaster that is dual inlet / single outlet. Was a custom built exhaust, but sounds real nice. I think it is a 50 series muffler.

I have the Flowmaster 50 series muffler. Sounds good. Deeper exhaust note and not ricey…wish it was just a tad louder though.

    Sounds great at idle too

This one actually sounds perfect. What kind do you have? Looks like they have 50 series delta flow, super 50 series suv muffler, 50 series big block.

    this.

I have never heard an aftermarket exhaust on the 4.0 v6 or pretty much ANY v6 sound good. The best i have heard on our truck is the TRD catback system... and even then i prefer the stock exhaust over that as the TRD just sounds OK. And im sorry if you have an AUTO, shit sounds horrible when it slides through the gears.

The only v6 with a good sound is the VW VR6 IMO and thats hard to say its a v6,

So just to double check before I purchase: A 2.5" inlet/outlet center muffler should fit ok for replacement of the stock muffler with the same specs right? Flowmaster website is saying the one I linked to above doesn't fit...

I think the 50 is milder than the 40, and I have the 40 and its still not that loud
