    UPDATE:

The dealer agreed to "try" and turn off the chime for me, the service writer said that everyone complains about that. After a short argument from me telling them that the front drivers side needle bearing was shot, and him telling me that he thought it was probably fine, and that he'd never heard of such a thing (F*&^ I hate car dealers) he called me the next day to let me know that the drivers side needle bearing was out of the differential. Go figure :D I get the truck back on Tuesday, I guess we'll see if they try and charge me for turning off the beeper. Bummer is if I ever change the battery or anything I'll have to ask them to do it again. I may just hunt the beeper down and render it inop.

I used the techstream software and disabled the seatbelt chimes myself. I got myself a knockoff mongoose cable so I can talk to our three toyotas. This is one of the only customizble Options available. It's nice being to drive up my driveway, unclipping my belt and not hearing the beeping noise!

The chime is just excessive. It beeps for far too long and DRIVES ME UP THE WALL!!!!!

Just did the method @ the beginning of the thread. I was able to set b-off. The truck still beeps about 5 times if the door is closed and you turn the key to on(ignition off) It's too early in the morning to see if it still beeps when the car is running and driving. I'll test that out tomorrow. lol

    Thanks!!!!

    Edit: yup! Definitely works!!! Thanks!!!

Bump of an thread I was looking for a while back.

I have a 2011 with the new gauges.

Under the drivers side seat, there are 3 plugs. 1 yellow, 1 blue/grey and 1 black.

If you unplug the black plug it disables the seatbelt chime and it had no effect on the airbag system. I believe it is some type of switched ground on the drivers side only. The passenger side only has the 2 plugs (yellow and blue/grey)

I've got a 2011 with the new gauges and the dealer disabled it but only after showing him the manual and calling him out on his lies. Originally the manager stated that it couldn't be done and later went on to say that only the passenger side could be done. With enough persistence it can be done free of charge.

I tried this and it worked on my 2010 Tacoma just when I was about to give up. I seen Grey Tacoma post on page 2 about clicking the belt at exactly 15 sec's and this worked for me. :woot:

Would be really nice to get a solution here, & not comments about wearing one's belt. I have a long driveway & a gate to open/close & would really like a solution. Tried all the above. Nothing works. Any update to this method? Have a 2015 model.

Can anyone tell me what wire to cut or what connection to disconnect under the passengers seat of my 2011 to disable this warning. I found the connection for the driver seat and took care of it, I haven't been so lucky on the passenger seat though.
I too have tried all of the methods mentioned above and want to be able to handle this myself without involving the dealership. Should be an easy and quick cut or disconnect fix out there.

Not practical for my use, I want me and my passengers to be able to disconnect the seat belt while pulling into the driveway without be annoyed to death

Putting a good amount of faith in an unknown product shipped from China. Looks good in theory, but what if the one time you need it (aka an accident) and this $6 piece of plastic fails? Just throwing it out there

I told my selling dealer that my Tacoma needed to have the two front windows tinted to match the rear quarter windows and the seat belt chime had to be disabled - he was happy to oblige and he sold me a new truck.
