it's sand and mag chloride here. the mag chloride usually is sprayed down prior to and during the storm. then the sand helps with traction and speed up the melting. something like that. better than salt but takes a toll on your windshields and chips the hell out of your front end.

Yea I got a chip in my wind shield last year coming out of the Denver area on the interstate at Christmas. Haha

Idk what they spray here but they spray a LOT of it. All the time. Poor frame

Eh, the hills are. We got 6" in the storm a week or so ago. 80% of that melted yesterday... People are snowmobiling on togwotee pass already.

They definitely use some salt here Monte, noticed it more in town in Riverton. Havn't seen much in Lander yet. Another reason Lander > Riverton!

Magnesium chloride is a salt. Most things that are chlorides are salts. I guess it's just a little nicer to the enviroment than table salt and doesn't corrode the roads and sidewalks as bad as table salt.

    so this happened this weekend...

final product... AP Flip with Timbren ( )
    APFlipTimbren-18_zpsdd80de67_d19a3697ca0252a86432ce68760c68602f412fa5.jpg

and the big project...still not 100% complete as i'm waiting for the new compressor to come in and finalize the setup...but tested and works!

2way air system by rock smasher engineering (product info here)

    some assembly required :D
    2wayair-1_zps97503bb0_eff954926dd7874276c14850a884ff4b44d501a2.jpg

decided to mount the "controls" next to the driver side battery
    2wayair-2_zps669a50d1_7652c8e4eaba2ed730bd769303a304cd7e98af7d.jpg

ran the hoses behind the headlight and down under the radiator to where it splits left/right then front/back
    2wayair-3_zps7c6dbe31_9febb3466aeff2ed09d84b4a13e7a0c18be35fc0.jpg

the hoses then run to each corner where you connect the quick disconnect whips (i'll have to get pics of the whips connected this week)

    driver front

behind driver rear..hoses for the rears run inside the frame until the tranny skid where i have a hose mount to keep it above danger then runs under the LCA mounts and above the IFS skid where it meets up with the rest of the system

    Hey Bob,
I've been thinking about a setup like this for a while now.
Haven't thought about making it integral and permanent to the vehicle though. I was thinking about more of an external system of hoses and valves that would allow deflation/inflation from a single point.
Any idea yet what they do/are going to charge for this system?

It looks like there are two shraeder valves under the hood.. are you only doing two tires at a time then? Is it not feasible to connect all 4?

Inquiring minds want to know :D

$330 for the 4-tire master kit
    http://shop.rocksmasher.com/MASTER-KIT-4-TIRE-2WAY-51635-KIT.htm

all 3 of those valve all connect to one main hose that is ran to the connections which split to all four tires...all 4 tires are connected

there is a quick connect valve and two schrader valves...with the compressor coming this week, that will connect to the quick connect valve which has an open/close lever. when the system is stopped/closed, you can use one of the schrader valves to check the pressure with a normal tire gauge.

the way i tested it out and will be using it this week, my Viair 300p will connect to one of the schrader valves to inflate. to test the level, i remove the hose and check on the valve.

the brass blow off valve can be set to a desired PSI which will cap off your PSI when reached...so turn on the pump and inflate...when the PSI is hit, the blow off will activate and leak air through there..turn the pump off and it'll blow off until the set PSI is hit, then the system is closed again.

to deflate, you open the valve on the quick disconnect valve..close when you want.

you can also hook inline a gauge similar to how the schrader valves and the blow off valve is tied in..this way all you need to do is close the valve/system and it'll give you an accurate reading right there...i will eventually do this..

Thanks for the explanation. Making much more sense to me now although I'm not sure I understand two shraeders given your explanations. Not important though....

Now I'm curious about the connection to the schraeders on the wheels, is it a clip on connection or does it screw on?
