Not looking to argue but I think you mean the concept of TX Pro, as for the most part the TRD Pro is the same thing except for some cosmetic differences which most of them are not exclusive to the TRD Pro (Hood with Scoop, Signal Mirrors, Black Chrome Headlights), on top of that they just added the Pro emblem, black emblems, grill and ... well that's it I think... but here is the thing, TX Pro major features are available for purchase so there is not a lot of exclusivity there and therefore not a lot exclusivity in the TRD pro.

Again, not arguing just expressing my point of view. I could have agreed if the TRD Pro had some of the features that the 4-Runner or the Tundra have, like embroidered seats and stamped logo in the bed of the Tundra, which the TX Pro did not have either... but honestly more thought went in to the TX Pro than the TRD Pro IMO...

...but still, both are very good looking Tacos.

I have a source that can get the grill but they want $500. I'm not sure I want to pay that much...

2015 TRD Pro in the Garage!

Toyota has a practice of protecting Items that are Unique to a certain line. Want part of a Pro? Buy the mirrors, scooped hood, etc. They don't tend to sell the "one of" items like the TRD Pro Taco grill. I for one am glad they don't. If you want a part bad enough you can get it.....then again, when was the last time you paid for a "one of"?

Some dealerships are assholes, and some are not. My local dealership happens to be very cool about this kind of stuff, especially since I order them through a body shop that has a wholesale account.

Those I was actually able to get thru TRDParts4U of Dallas, TX... Check their website if you're looking for them. But you are correct, most dealerships refused to sell.

What part number did you use? I tried PTR54-35150 but no joy.

I was unaware of that. When I ordered mine I'm 99% sure the part numbers on the boxes were for the black wheels, not bronze. They didn't make any mention of that either with me when I ordered them. FWIW I ordered mine about this time a year ago.

    http://trdparts4u.toyotaofdallas.co...2&catalogname=TRD Performance&idCategory=2170

I punched in 2014 Tacoma then browsed TRD wheels. They are even showing the Gunmetal Baja wheels as available now, in addition to black and bronze

    It's showing PTR18-35090

**EDIT** never mind, I think we're confused. I was referring to rims. Your Part number is for the Pro Grill. I've had no luck getting that grill thru them.

Sorry, this was a grille thread and I thought that is what you were referring to. My bad.

I ordered mine from the same place in November of 2012. When I purchased mine they had two on hand and had to special order two additional wheels. The person I spoke with on the phone expressed concern about being able to get two more as the channels they were using to get the black wheels was closing and limiting their access to those specific wheels.

I just went back through my documents and found the receipt and they are quoting the part number as PTR18-35090 - TRD 16 FJ and listing it as a special order.

I do have a new in box spare wheel as well that I can check the part number on the box. Unfortunately, that wheel is from ShopTRD. Having the wheels mounted I have no doubt they're original black TRD wheels.

I believe it was Dale Earnhardt Toyota that was making replica black beadlock wheels and selling them on eBay (as replicas) back in 2012 when i was searching for my wheels.

When I ordered the black beadlocks I tried to get the gray Baja wheels from TRDParts4U and was greeting with a "sorry, but no" response, even though they could get me the black ones.
