Sorry, I forgot it was so obvious jks. I take my team a little seriously considering the amount of Flame bandwagoners there are about in my part of the country as of late.

I remember that band lol. Where the hell was this Canucks team last year, I mean Torts is bad but not that bad. Do the sisters give up that hard when someone picks on them?

 

Well I'm no bandwagoner. I'm actually a mod on a decent sized leaf site I have followed them my whole life. Just don't want a concussion prone Staal. I have a concussion right now and I know how bad it is long term

True. I've been concussed before and it blows. I think we've actually talked about that here before.

I'm in no way claiming that I'm any better at telling what, if anything, the Leafs need to do to get this team to play consistently hard and within Carlyle's system. I think that Staal isn't a bad road to go down if the price is right. They need someone skilled with leadership in that dressing room right now because they have no one like that. The key is not betting the farm on it. I think any more major trades than that are going to have such a high price we may as well start the rebuild again.

I have been pleasantly surprised with Phanuef this year. He's hitting big without getting to far out of position. His numbers are even showing a slight improvement. If he can keeping getting into the corner hard and using that body to win battles or tie them until help arrives then his game will keep coming around.

I was going to make a really good meme for this, but I think instead I'll just defer to the great and powerful OZ as being right on this one. I'll get less cereal.

 

I was born and raised in Leafs Nation until I was 10. Plus my dads a Sens fan so being a Leafs fan was just another way to get under his skin yet enjoy watching the battle of Ontario with him.

In Calgary, Leafs games are a 50/50 split between Leafs fans and Flames fans. It makes for a fun time. I'll miss the dome when they build the new place in the next few years here.

I love that argument. It clearly explains why teams from the West win the cup every year. Standings mean so much in the playoffs. Remember 2012 right?

Any conference where team AHL (Calgary) is in the top 8 is not the doom and gloom conference that the Western Media likes to portray it as.
