So i was doing a little fishing today at snake river and saw a cool looking sand trail. I decided to take it and GOT STUCK! on sand!? Lame.

Does anyone else have these tires? if so do you like them?

I like the looks of them and they have good preformance on the road, just not off...

2wd can work in most situations, but it takes more skill and preparation. I fish on the beach pretty often and over the years have been all kinds of stuck in different vehicles.

The worst was a 1984 Bronco. I had brand new tires and lots of confidence. Ok, I was a junior in high school so I was beyond cocky. Anyway, I head onto the beach, bog down, hit the gas, and sink up to the frame. Dig, dig, dig, get the truck rolling, and sink it to the frame again.

A cop was watching the whole thing and once I was stuck the second time he called a tow truck. This beast shows up on 40's and the driver asks what pressure I'm running. 35psi. He laughs and tells me to air down to 9psi. I do, he winches me 20 feet, and I'm driving around like it's pavement. My parents showed up somewhere in the interim and paid the guy $90. Expensive lesson.

Anyway, in my 4x4 Tacoma with good tires I air down to 18psi and have no issues in really soft sugar-sand. Most sand isn't that bad, so at that pressure your 2wd should be able to get around.

Just remember -- no sharp turns. ;) And don't forget to air back up before hitting the highway again.

You have any pictures of your stuck or are you a true fisherman and leave the camera at home because photos would contradict your stories? :D
