    Hey!

It's going to be a long 2 days, I signed for a new 2015 Red Tacoma on Saturday at the local Toyota dealership. I'm trading in the GMC Sierra for my first new 4x4, and the one of my dreams. Iconic Barcelona Red, TRD Off-road package Double Cab Tacoma. Should be loading it on a semi today and getting it at the dealership hopefully tomorrow.

It's gonna be hard to focus for the next couple of days! Hopefully it'll only be tonight I have to wait, and pick it up tomorrow. Really looking forward to the truck. I test drove a double cab 4x4 Saturday, Rockwall Toyota had only the one 4x4 Taco in stock. I let them know if they could find me a red one with the TRD Off road package at a reasonable price, it was a deal. Turns out there were only 3 in the surrounding states, this one (the closest) was 380 miles from us, (didn't tell me exactly where), but I'm hoping they don't waste time with the transfer!

I didn't sleep much this weekend, busy immersing myself in stats and vids on the Tacoma. Looking forward to the nice long weekend coming up, and making thanksgiving trips in my new truck!

Anyway, no pictures yet til they get it in and stuff. Figured I'd post here first and go ahead and up the ante on my anticipation...

I'm ready to get the truck, but the wait is bitter sweet. It's gonna be great to show up at the dealership and see it there prepared and detailed. Just gotta keep my mind off it til tomorrow and it'll come quick!

    All the best,
    Dustin

Congrats!! Wise choice on the color. I may be a little biased though.

Thanks for the warm welcome gentlemen!

You all have some awesome machines! Giving me a ton of ideas on how to build my wish list for this truck!

Haha, I love the color man. It'll be the first non-dark vehicle I've ever owned. Red was the most challenging requirement I gave the dealership, but they thankfully delivered.

Will definitely post pics here (hopefully) tomorrow.

    All the best,
    Dustin

I ordered the same truck back in October and hope to have it first week of December, so I have been waiting a bit longer than you.

I ordered the 6-speed, that and the red were the reasons I HAD to order it. Access cab, long box, because I need the box space to put a snowmobile in there.

Yeah, they told me the same thing about the 6MT.

I feel bad you have to wait that long, I'm pining over the two days I'm having to wait.

And I'm going from a 6.5 ft bed on the Sierra to the double cab bed, I definitely hear ya about bed space, I'm resting on the fact that the bed extender and perhaps a few extra ratcheting straps will give me what I need when I need to use the bed (my wife buys furniture an awful lot at garage sales).

Needed the 4 full doors though, had the extended cab Sierra and it would have been a pain to get a car seat in there. I think we have a bit extra room on the double cab.

Here's to hoping speedy Tacoma deliveries

It is extra hard to wait, since I can't really tow my snowmobile trailer until I get the truck...

Will do sir, and those links in your signature are incredible. I especially dig the one where you show the difference in aired-down tires in the sand, then of course the drive modes. Bookmarked both.

    Thanks!
