So... Trying to clean the carb jets on my 08 crf450. Got the carb out, now Im kind of lost. The manual wants me to basically take the whole carb apart. Is that necessary just to clean the jets?

Yeah take the carb apart. Its easier than you think. Just start at the bottom, remove the screws and the lid of it will come off. Then you'll see the three brass jets, remove them with a flat head.
    This should help

Once you get it all apart inspect everything for corrosion or ethanol build up, spray out the jets, and/or let them soak for a while in cleaner.

You have my number, text me if you have any more questions. im downtown tonight too if you wanna bring it by

    Hey boys!

I just bought bilstein 5100's and eibach coil overs. I'm looking for a place in Santa Barbara area to have them installed. Do you guys have any suggestions? Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks! It's going good, should be done tomorrow and shouldn't cost me more than a grand to be back to looking and driving new. Expensive mistake but could have been much worse. Then I'll have some surprise updates on it next Monday :spy:

I sold that a while ago then got a 95 ext cab (think thats the one you saw), just sold that one now i'm in a 2000 tundra ext cab. smashed it into a wall like an idiot so its at a shop getting the frame straightened, should be done tomorrow then she goes under the knife for new bumper, flame plating and gusseting all around, by yours truly.

Yeah total chaos 3.5 over up front with boxed lowers and giant dd link kit in the rear. 20" of travel with the entire bed usable. Got it for a good deal, hope to make some spindles or a new uniball lower front kit down the road. But its much more practical than my old ext cab, plus a v8 and 5 seats is fun for adventures with friends to the mountains and stuff. Gonna keep it somewhat sleeper, kind of hard with the big ol' links hanging off the bottom though haha.
I'll bring it next time we go shoot!

Getting new tires soon, was set on the cooper st maxx because I dont really need a mud tire, but my truck is pretty much used on weekends only as I use a work truck mon-fri. Should I stick with a less aggressive tire or should I consider MTs?
