I like how they put an "emphasis" on certain play calls every year. Last year, helmet to helmet was a huge deal. Always calls for helmet to helmet. Now they have transitioned to the illegal use of hands.

They looked good but they play at Lambeau next week. Watching the Pack tonight I think their minds were already on next weeks game thinking that this one was already in hand. And the injury report for the pack will be interesting. Some strange happenings on the defense..

Assuming you're talking about the O-line holding on the last TD?

Yeah that was pretty bad. Notice how all the commentators are praising what great calls the REF's are making this year?

I love Football, but unfortunately it is rigged.

    Unbelievable catch by Odell though!

Love yer avatar. Back to the game:

All games have incredibly bad officiating. I don't think it's rigged, I just think they've made it extremely difficult for the refs with the insane rule changes. It's looking less and less like the football I grew up with.

Can't wait til Turkey Day when the 49ers play the SeaChickens!! The wife got some tickets!! Not gonna lie, I'm nervous about the game. Both teams aren't playing as good as last year, but the Niners D is starting to come alive. Offense isn't consistent though :(

    How about that secondary?!?!?!?!?!?

Green Bay will be the toughest test for Revis/Browner and Associates. I'm praying for a win, i think it's going to be a tough game but e Pats will pull it off.

Have fun at the game. My wife (via her employer) did a tour of the stadium last week and she said it was awesome. Wish I could be there. Turkey Day in Carmel, as usual. But I'll be watching on the tube. They'll have to have their best game to get past the Seattle Seascavengers.

I think Denver was a bigger challenge, and Detroit obviously has a better D than GB. I'm not gonna call it a win right now, but, we crushed the Vikings before our OL figured it's shit out and before Browner was playing... GB just barely beat them. Brady is 1-0 at Lambeau so, hoping for 2-0 this week!

Non of that means much bro. Divisional games are almost always tight so the Pack/Vikes game is no gauge. And us beating the Vikings back in early September is no real gauge either because we almost lost to the Raiders.

It's really one week at a time and if everyone stays with their assignment and does their job.

It's crazy how we get SO darn wrapped up in this game and then something happens and everyone takes a second to put things into perspective. At the end of the day, it's a game.

I'm talking about Eric Berry's probable diagnosis of lymphoma. Even these seemingly immortal superstar athletes are human, and it hits you like a MACK truck when the news breaks.

Football is such a great game that we all can lose ourselves in for days, weeks, months, hell even our whole lives. It gives us something to look forward to, something to complain about, and everything in between.

It's been hard for me to listen to sports talk radio this week because of the news about Berry. Speaks volumes of the man's character to have such a positive outlook and go get 'em attitude in the wake of news like this.

Carry on, gentlemen. I'm off my soapbox now but I wanted some TW members to weigh in on this since I hadn't seen it in this thread yet.

Berry's illness is a shocker. Fuck cancer in all it's forms, and all it's derivatives.

Last year DuJuan Harris, our #3 RB and often-times kick returner, had a mass on his chest found and excised. He ended up being fine, it wasn't malignant....but there were a couple damned tense days *as a fan*, I don't even want to think about having that happen.

I'm not much the praying type, but if I were, I'd be sending some Eric's way.
