Something is up with my truck, need some help figuring it out.

The truck is shaking on the the highway and this past weekend I noticed my front right tire showed signs that it was starting to cup (after 5 hours on the rd). I got the wheels balanced and it "kind of" fixed the problem, but now it seems to be back and getting worse.

At very slow speeds it feels like I am going over a slightly uneven road with a slight bump at inconsistent intervals. I dont think its a tire belt and I checked all the tires and I cant see anything out of round, but I dont know the best way to do this other than eyeball it.

Jacked up the font and checked for play in the wheel and it was very minimal when pushing with one hand and pulling with the other (simulating turning). Didnt notice any other movement.

No boots are leaking or damaged, any thoughts?

Could it be an alignment issue, how can I check the likely causes myself before taking it to a shop?

I am oppen to sugestions for camping. I don't really know of a lot of places that are open in the winter. I just don't want to have to give it up entirely just because of winter.

I did not know they had any camping. Let me know ahead of time next time and I will try my best to make it. My wife and I are almost always down to go exploring if any one has an itch and wants to help plan a trip.

national forest definitely has some good camping. Only thing you need to remember is that it is hunting season. I believe you are allowed to camp anywhere in the forest also. i definitely recommend getting National Geographic Maps of the area. #791 is a good one for west of Harrisonburg (Flagpole area). only thing about the maps is that its hard to tell how the roads are. Going up to Reddish Knob is paved and classified improved road but so is the road going up towards flagpole from the south. that road is improved meaning it was obviously cleared but its nowhere near paved or even very flat (slightly rocky and bumpy but not like you are rock crawling) which is what I am assuming most of the "improved" roads are like on the map.

Anybody local have a set of stock wheels and tires I can borrow to get an alignment? I keep getting told they can't mount the alignment heads on my wheels... no lip. Otherwise, does anybody know a shop that has heads that will mount to the tire rather than the wheel?

When do you need the stockers? I have a set but they're down at Lake Anna.

Big thanks to Skygear for helping me out this weekend. After two nights, about 10 hours total of work, and lots of bullshit, we got my lift installed.

no pics yet because it seems like it's perpetually dark, but I'll try to get some good ones and update my build thread tomorrow

Any particular places you recommend? I've heard of Tuskers Gap/Peters Mill Run, but I'm sure there are others. Thinking of heading out to explore with the family this weekend. Where's a good place for maps/coordinates/trail description etc? Thanks!

Victor and Sons in Manassas Park says they can do it. I'll find out this week.

I may or may not make it to the meet on Tuesday. I have to be in Baltimore at 8am on Wed for a class.
