True, you could mock mount it and see how much it is in the way and see if its doable. If not, find another use for it! :)

    Lift updates:
    Leaf Pack
Turns out my OME leaves would put me at close to 4" of lift, a little too much for what I am going for.

    Shocks
OME Nitrocharger shocks (just shy of 10" of travel) wouldn't work with the original full leaf pack all that well as the shocks are meant for ~2" lift. So I might be taking a leaf out of the new OME Pickup Springs to not give me so much lift. Then I will still be able to use the more durable Nitrocharger shock.

    Brakelines
Shouldn't need new brakelines, Tom at GTF showed me a trick

    Axle Shim
Hadn't planned on this, but looks like for $30 I should.

    Axle Relocation plates
Planned on this but might not need it. Already have it

    Carrier Bearing drop
Hadn't planned on this, but looks like for $30 I should.

Hmm never even thought of the axle shims... Thats just to fix the driveshaft so its more in line right? For vibrations?

Why don't you need the axle relocation plate anymore?

Sounds like a sweet lift you have planned!! What did you end up with shackles?

When is it all going on? All pro UCA come in?

    Sorry lots of questions lol

Thanks haha, cant wait to see that go on.

Now you got me debating axle shims.... And axle relocation plates...... I don't know if you can stack those.. Ohwell, still got a while to figure everything out.

You should remember that I am using pickup leaves for mine, they give a lot more lift than OME springs will on your truck. OME did not design any springs for the 95-97 Tacoma's specifically, that's why I must resort to using the pickup version, despite it being almost too tall.

So, my results will be different than yours. ;) Once you decide on leaves and shocks the rest is cheap and easy though.

    Sure was! :D

And tonight I took off my stock bumper and cut apart my frame endcaps so I can weld some 1/4" plate endcaps on. Didn't get around to welding them tonight though, that will wait until Tuesday.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
When you are thinking about driveline angle please remember that our trucks have a double-cardan joint. The typical straight driveline uses two u-joints and requires that the diff pinion flange and transmission output shaft are parallel.

The double-cardan joint on our style driveshaft has a little more nebulousness in its alignment theory and I suggest you do some research on the subject, you may never need a shim. (I may not even have needed one, still sorting out some vibes myself). I think my carrier bearing is shot and it will need a drop as well. I may even remove the shim and play around with all the options when the weather warms up. Just some food for thought :D

Awesome stereo! Is it color changing? The only regret I have with my stereo is not getting the Bluetooth and stuff like that. Sweet gift!

Yep, color changing! I will have to play with it on my drive down to the cabin this afternoon.

    Just installed it too.
