Finally got this taken care of today and tried it out. Might be the best mod I've done to any of my Toyota's. I forgot what it felt like to stop like that. Thanks so much for working this out and sharing it!!

I've been thinking about this mod for about a year and with snow coming I had to do it. It took me longer to get the tools ready then to do the task. Thanks Crom for sharing this with all.

I just did this mod and need help, I followed croms write up to a T. I have a 06 with 4x4, vsc, and locker. When I am at a stop and I hit the switch my abs, locker, vsc and the car with squiggly lines lights are on so all is good right? My problem is when I am driving if I hit the switch all of those lights will light up but another one will also light up, the vsc trac light and if i hit the switch again they will all stay on until I turn off the truck and turn it back on. anyone know what the deal is?

If you already have the locker anytime mod why not just use that to kill abs?

You really don't want to drive around at speed with your locker engaged.

did this a while ago, going through and re-wiring a lot of things on the truck. I'm wondering if anyone has figured out how to use a lighted switch with this mod. i can't seem to figure out how to do it.

So what wire gauge size should the t-tap connector be, to tap into the factory blue/yellow wire? I searched this thread but didn't really see a definitive answer. One person used 18 gauge but had a problem with it not splicing the wire insulation at first.

I need to get this done right away on my 13' TRD OR. The ABS just carried me through a turning lane near my house that was snow covered and not plowed, and I had even slowed way down to a couple mph before entering the lane. Lucky there wasn't another vehicle stopped and turning in front of me or I'd have surely hit them.
