It's new......mods starting soon. Removed step bars so far. lol
the rugged terrain will probably be the best on hard pack and ice due to the most siping.....the BFGoodrich a/t and Generals are pretty similar, having experience with both i would say the BFGoodrich are a bit better

I'm shopping for tires on Amazon and am trying to find a E rated 245 75 r16 A/T tire. In the specs it gives me a number of 120 in the load index and says they will not fit on my 2011 Tacoma?
    Any help is Appreciated

So does anyone know if the new BFG Ko2 in 275/70/17 will fit on a stock sport wheel with no rub? I have 265/70/17 Falkens now and there close

I would stay with the 275 width and drop the profile to a 65 or 60!

The old ATKO's fit in a 275 70r17. There are, or were members here running them on stock suspension and sport wheels. Not sure about the KO2's.

I just came here to throw in my two cents about hankook dynapro atm tires. We just had our first snow fall and they are night and day difference compared to my nitto trail grapplers. They almost feel as good as snow tires. Looks like I wont be driving in 4H all winter this year!

My Duratrac 265/70/17's are riding on stock rims and suspension and they are close. I agree with gdog. if you don't reduce the profile, you will have some trimming to do.

Just got a set of Duratracs. Bought them primarily for our winters here in Ottawa but also to have that nice aggressive look. I'm lovin them so far! the stock Bridgestone Duelers did not cut it!

What do you guys think, st maxx in 295/70r17, duratrac in 285/70r17, bfg all terrain ko2 in 285/70r17 or fierce attitude mt 285/70r17 for my tacoma? I do 70 percent on road and the other 30 percent is spend on the mud and rocks. I live in Wyoming at the moment but will be moving back to wyoming so I need something that is good in snow and ice. I have heard good and bad reviews of both the st maxx and duratrac. I can't find much on the ko2 or the attitude. So what do you guys recommend? I'm looking for an aggressive tire that is somewhat quiet and good in snow an ice. I currently have the km2s in 255/80r17 and they are a nightmare on ice.

I'm looking for some advice on what tires to get to replace the stock street-tread 245/75R-16 Dunlop AT20 Grand Trek tires (now with 45k miles on them) that were OE on my 2013 Pre-Runner.

I see 40 pages of thread here, so please don't hate me for not reading every post (I'm at work, and have limited time).

I'm pleased with the tread-life and mileage I am getting out of the Dunlops (21.7MPG), but not so much with the mediocre on-road handling and non-existant traction on the rare occasions I go off-pavement - which consists mainly of loose shellrock, sand, and VERY light mud (I only need to get my dirt bike to the trail heads). 90% of my driving is highway commuting (70+ mph, 60 mile round trip), 8% around-town (errands, groceries, etc), and 2% off road, as described above.

I'd like to go to 265/70R-16's to help with the soft stuff, but don't want to decrease my gas mileage, or increase my tire noise/ride roughness. Any improvement in handling (especially in the rain) would be greatly appreciated.

Finally, I'm on a limited budget, so the high-end/low tread-wear stuff is not up for consideration. I'm located in S. Florida, and TireRack.com estimates $166 for shipping a set of four (almost the price of a 5th tire), and then I have to get them mounted & balanced. So something closer than Indiana would be beneficial...

The BFG Rugged Trail T/A, Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revos, Michelin LTXA-TP or LTX A/T2, Pirelli Scorpion A/T and Yokohama Geolander A/T/S all appear to be worth consideration, but I have no first-hand experience with any of them - My last truck (1994 4WD Short-Bed Toyota Hi-Lux) had 32.5x11.5 BFG A/T's and did very well with them off-road, and pretty well on pavement, but they were noisy and I got crap mileage (~14.5MPG). My commute was much shorter then, so it wasn't a big deal (and no, I can't shorten my commute).

If you have any experience with any of these (or similar), I'd love to hear your recommendations/suggestions. I've gotten good advice here before (and hopefully, given some), so I have high expectations -

Let me know what you think, guys (and gals). Thanks in advance

    Tony

I just this morning replaced the stock Dunlop 245's and steel wheels with 16" OEM TRD alloys (from a cheap trade) and bought new Nitto Terra Grappler 265/70-R16's to go on the alloys.
All the positive comments led me to these tires.
They are super smooth, quiet, one size larger and much bigger tread than the OEM stock.
Cost was $168 each at WalMart. I ordered them online and it took 5 days for free delivery to my local store. Another $38 for mounting and balancing. ($706 installed)
