Installed some AVS Vent Shades this morning. Not much but they look good and I'm happy to have them on there as it rains here all the freaking time.

Sweet man. Thx a ton. You guys rock:) She's being a bitch to me today. Ha. Never done this before so it's a learning experience. The water pump was toast. Half way done with it all. Water pump is on. Just installing idler pulleys now with some blue loctite, then it's ready for the belt which I'll turn a few revolutions and check timing marks again. Then reassemble everything. Sigh what a job.
Oh and do you think it should run a little better seeing as the timing was off a hair? At least I think it was anyways before it locked up.

They aren't quite as low profile as the EGR ones are but the EGR are almost to low profile for me. Very happy with these & only $37 shipped. :)

I have some EGR ones, they may just seem bulkier because they go all the way to cover the window in front of the mirrior

Sigh such bullshit!! I got my water pump/timing belt all installed. Everything put back together.. All ready to put fresh antifreeze in and guess what... All 3 jugs I bought this morning ALL had fucking puncture holes in the seals!!!!! As if someone drained all their old antifreeze back in and returned them! ...WTF!!! Assholes. So I had to drive all the way back just now and at least they didn't have a problem swapping them for me. Sigh.. Pretty smart though I'll give em that. Fucktards. Ugh.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
The wife asked if we should get her Ford Explorer serviced and take it on a 100 mile trip for black Friday shopping on Friday, this was how I responded..
    J-Jonah-Jameson-laughing_zps68d24043_404964ad2ec46b9286b8f0ebbb86b3d6b301ddb4.jpg

Her rig is nice, but I just don't trust it to go that far, especially with it being as cold as it's been lately. It is an electrical nightmare, the person that owned it before had a tree branch go through the windshield and right into the middle of the dash during a windy thunderstorm and it just raised all kinds of cane with the electronics in the Explorer, the cruise control doesn't work which I hate not having for highway driving, and a few other odds and ends have just quit working on it since she's had it like the dome light quit coming on when the door is open, and the radio display no longer comes on. I'm afraid what is going to quit coming on next so I say we are taking the Tacoma on Friday!

Alrighty got er filled up with SEALED antifreeze. She's purring like a kitten now. Better than she was before so I think the timing was off a hair. But, she's running a bit hotter than normal.. the kit said it was a 180* thermostat. It's running at about 204-208*. 210 at the highest.

194.5 all day long for me, unless I'm charging hard up hill. Far as I know, it is a factory unit.

Edit, maybe it is just 194 even... Whatever. Close enough.

I'm at 192 cruising around town, if I run it hard it'll get up to 197, but haven't seen it higher than that.

Washed and waxed my truck, hopefully gonna be able to keep it clean for a little while.
