Hey to anyone who is thinking about buying a spacer, check out this link. Some really good info on how the spacers actually work and what they are actually doing. Based on this you definitely should see some gains in the low end.

The price is already discounted for forum members over my normal website price. If truly looking to buy, and interested in black Friday discount PM me on Friday.

As far as the G10 and that article, the motor design they are talking about in the article is a mustang. While phenolic materials can be good in heat disappation it won't make that much difference on our trucks. The intake plenum already is plastic. The extra layer of aluminum by putting in the spacer is no different than what is already there. Now if it were between two pieces of aluminum as described in the article it could make a difference in cooling the adjoining parts. I doubt there is a gain that could be seen on a dyno by running a different material when the material is only half an inch thick to begin with. The air rushing through is not going to cool significantly. The gain is from the spacer regardless of the material. BTW, phenolic materials are hard to machine are tough on equipment unless cut with a water jet. I looked into it but couldn't justify the price of material or production at least with my local resources.

It would require a new idler bracket, longer belt and longer bolts to mount the SC through the spacer to the intake manifold. See the pictures below of the SC installation instructions about the bracket and bolts. These would need modification / replacement in addition to elongating the holes in the intake brackets. Not to mention, the clearance under the hood is tight with the SC and intercooler lines.
