Why not just paint the strips outside of the bezel and mount them when the bezel is painted?

    Just a few LEDs...
I could have, but I wanted to mount the strips to the bare plastic. I didn't want to stick them on the paint and rely on the paint to stick to the plastic.

Another reason I chose to install the strips before painting is I actually had to have the strips in 3 separate segments soldered together. This is because of the way the housing curves. In order to follow this curve, I mounted one strip then mouted the second section at a slight angle, soldered it to the first strip, then did the same with the second strip. Soldering on an already painted surface might have ruined the paint. Fingerprints were another concern. I'll be sure to get pictures of this process if anyone is interested.

Andrew or anyone here, what size halos are these and where do I buy them along with what controller? Also, how do you secure that large halo, or any for that fact? I have an RF RGB LED controller now I think I could hook into. Does TRS sell these? I would order these when I make my order from TRS. Also, what halo size fits the mini d2s front of projector/shroud?

TRS doesn't sell these, or RGB led rings but they have some in the making but I doubt it'll be this big. As for the size no clue about the big one but I know behind my gatling gun shroud I used a 100mm. Depends on your shroud as to what sizes you'll need.

OK, My son and I undertook this restrofit and I want to say other than a few mistakes I made, they turned out great. I just finished my second set on my daughters Jeep (Sealed 7s).

On his Taco, we wnt with painting the replectors, shrouds, amber and white halos and LEDs for the "Audi" LED DRL look. They turned out Excellent. I just need to get out my good DSLR Camera to get som high quality images.

Just need to do the TRS LED Fog Lights: Here

Where did you purchase the strip light and you should do wright up on the connecting.

How did you contact it to the park/running lights? Wire taps?
    Looks sharp, a must do...

These are the strips I used. They are only 5mm wide which is about the same width as the area they cover inside the headlight housing.

    https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/top-emitting/nfls-ss-x300-series-30-high-power-led-super-slim-flexible-light-strip-sample/880/#/tab/Specifications

I thought about drilling a hole or even adding some sort of electrical plug and socket to the back of the housing, but I got lazy and just ran the wires for the LED strips out through one of the vent holes that have the black rubber caps on them. Then I just tapped into the parking light wires. I'll eventually put the strips on their own circuit so I can turn them on and off independently of the parking lights to allow me to change the look and character of my truck on demand. :D

Getting the strips around this complex curve was a bit of a challenge. I had to cut them into three sections and solder them back together after they were installed at the proper angles.

I hand painted the strips with a brush then masked them off when I spray painted the rest of the bezel.

Here is a shot of them lit up before I painted the bezel.

And of course here is the finished product...:D

Installed on truck....I think it looks Bad-Ass but I might be a little biased
