have u thought about seeing if u could just get new clips from somewhere and cut off the old ones that are stuck and then putting the new ones where u want them? looks like that would get u what u want for much less than u want to spend, and are u saying u have OR springs cranks to 2.5? mines are 1.75 and they are very tolarable but stiffer than stock i couldnt imagine how horrible it would be at 2.5.

Yes mine are currently at 2.5" and are fairly stiff. They're so corroded that even with a hammer I couldn't knock the bottom spring mount off the shock to even get at the circlip. And then even if I did get it off I wouldn't trust putting the circlip in the rusted groove.

If the 2.5 setting is too rough of a ride and rusted, why put the clip back in the same spot? :notsure:

Just get OME springs/shocks and be done with it. Or the eibach option 1.6" lift springs with whatever shocks you choose.

I may spring for a new set of 5100's and some eibach coils. I noticed the new 5100's use a black coil collar at the bottom instead of the aluminum like my old ones. That's the part that basically rusted itself to the shock. Those ironma shocks look really beefy for the price though. I just wish more people had experience with them.

I really don't want to give bilstein more of my money. 5100's do come with a lifetime warranty, but I would imagine it doesnt cover rust.

Well considering my budget, 5100's were pretty much my only option. I went with Dan at wheelersoffroad and I'm going to sell my old 5100's.

At first I was thinking of 5100's with eibachs, but then again that's about the max I want to pay, I am shipping to Canada so that adds to the total cost.

Ended up getting 5100s which I am going to set at .85, with my trd offroad progressive coils this is the max setting I want to go with. I am also adding 1/2" top spacers to add an extra inch of lift making a total of 1.85".

There seems to a lot of confusion on here about top spacers and them making the ride stiff. Seeing how they are only 1/2" I shouldn't have a problem with the shocks bottoming out before hitting the bump stop and if I do I will order some bump stop spacers.

I will be getting 1.85" of lift with the ride quality of the .85" setting. If for some reason I hate it I can always buy some eibach coils down the road.

I also ordered new cusions and extended top plate bolts. Ill post an update on the ride quality when I have them installed.
