Jeff O'Neill was on Leafs Lunch monday sharing a few stories. Said that sometimes he'd be dragged into the arguements between Quinn and the ref when Quinn would yell "Jeff can you believe this guy? He's a fellow Irishman and he's giving us calls like this"

 

Gary Valk told a Pat Quinn story during the Canucks game in Vancouver last night about when he went in to see then GM Pat Quinn about getting a new contract and a raise . He told Pat he had been playing well all year and deserved more money , Pat responded " Valky , I've played you on the 4th line all season , and the only reason I did that is because we don't have a 5th line . "

I have embraced the tank. If the Sabres don't land either McDavid or Eichel in the up coming draft, then this year for me has been a failure. While I think the Sabres are doing a great job of putting together a deep and talented prospect pool I want one of those players.

 

F'n love the O'dog. Loved his story of Pat Quinn! Met Pat Quinn a while ago and got his autograph with a bunch of other Leafs alum. He was a really nice guy! Sad to see him go, but he's with the Hockey gods now!

 

For your sake, I hope they don't end up like Edmonton.. Bunch of first Over alls and first round picks. 8 years later.... still trying to crawl out of the basement.

He should of at least trended into a top 9 forward with a bit of a gritty edge. Now he's a washout with very little to offer as a scorer or a player who plays big.
