Maxtrac Spindle Lift for 2nd Gen Prerunners

Isn't the factory rake like 2"? So wouldn't he only need 2" to be level?
He did say level, 4" in the front & rear would maintain the factory rake only higher. He'd need like 4" in the rear if he stacks lifts.

 

Oh, I dunno about factory rake. Depends what leaf pack he got from the dealer anyways lol. Yea what he said though.

 

I would recommend just getting rid of the spacer.

Put the spindle up front and get a 2in AAL (or 1.5in if you like a little bro lean) for the back and call it a day.

 

Adding a spacer on top of that spindle is going to give you a 6.5" lift. I added 2.5 coilovers to my truck with zero preload on them, but it ended giving me more lift for some reason. If I were to guess I am at about 5" lift up front and 3" all pro leafs in the rear and I have a bro lean. Its to much lift after that, mine is border line to much

Hello! Quick question before I go and spend money on the wrong
things. I drive an 06 tacoma 2wd. It has a 3" lift by old man emu on it, had
it for nearly a year. Want a little more lift so my plan was to redu it all
to a spindle lift. For now the plan it to take out the front struts (or
coiloversc whatever its called) and put in a maxtrac spindle with my stock
trd sport struts. Eventually will get bilsteins for the front. Now the rear
is where I'm confused. I have a 2" AAL back there, was thinking of putting a
1 inch block in the rear so it would he 4 in the front and 3 in the rear.
Question is will my rear shocks he overextended or will they be alright? The
AAL provides 2" in the rear. They are the Old Man Emu 60091 NitroCharger
rear shocks. Again, will eventually be purchasing extended shocks but that
will be a few months down the road.

And finally, how bad is stacking an AAL with a 1 inch block? Some say its
not big deal. Most on Tacomaworld say its not the best idea. Im a senior in
highschool so my job can only do so much! Will slowly replace parts so
everything is of higher quality so as to not jeopardize the truck. But this
is the plan! Thanks in advance!

 

If I were you I would just go ahead and get the longer bilsteins for the rear be5-b110-t5. Since you are going to get 5100's for the front eventually just get matching shocks for the rear. If you want to run a small block with the add a leaf in your pack that is fine but I would recommend the 1.5 versus the 1". I say this because the 1.5 is a tapered block so it will help a lil with driveline angle. Also keep an eye on where your driveshaft comes out of the tailshaft of the transmission as you will probably need to get a driveshaft spacer.

Alright fellas, im thinking about installing my maxtracs today..... i read somewhere that i might need grease for the bearing....do i? If so, anyone recommend a certain brand?

 

Also, did yall end up leaving the rotor guard off?

 

I didn't use any grease when I installed mine, and you have to take the dust guard off for the spindles to fit. iirc it won't fit since the spindles are bigger compared to the stock ones
