Thanks dude! It was at the real 65 on gps, 75 on speedo. I'm thinking the difference is my tires? I will double check tomorrow as I'm driving to Tahoe but yeah my numbers are way lower than expected.

I did trim them a bit, cut off all the nubbys on the inside where the flares bolted too and hammered the edge flat, radius the bottom corner closest to firewall, ran out of time to really cut them I will do that after the trip.

    Happy thanksgiving everyone!

Got new tires yesterday(285/75 r16 BFG KO2). Decided to go with an all terrain since I do a lot of highway driving and very little off-road for the time being. I think these new ko2s look pretty sweet.

Those number sound about right to me. Right now I'm running 5.29's w/ 33s and I'm about 20mph off. Truck originally had 37s and the speedo error was minimal.
The new set up looks good man!

Thanks! Can't wait til it's broken in an I can go fast.

Yeah no doubt, I checked with the jack and the part that I cut can't hit sidewall only tread, so yeah that's what I said too self siping hahah. These tires measure out to about 34x10.5 with street psi.

Well I turned the thermostat jiggle valve downwards, filled er back up and so far sitting at idle, she is running at a steady 188.6 degrees. Didn't take her for a drive yet but, I'm sure she's good to go! Still gotta double check for leaks. Probly spray her down first as there's a bunch of dirt caked on now all over underneath (from getting towed home on our dirt road) from the antifreeze getting everywhere. Then take the timing cover off and check for leaks around the water pump. But I think she's all nice and tight:) My semi noob skills just took an ego bump, thanks to you guys, for helping me out:D

Actually. I tried splicing the wires at the knock sensor harness. That caused a code for both sensors. Way to long later and i found a few wires grounding out on the inside of the firewall. This code has been on the truck since ive owned it so i dont know how long its been like it. Ohh and i fill the truck up every friday. Shel take just under $100 or so.

^ one of mine went out, so i spliced them together.. it worked and i have about 10k on it with no problems.. i heard it was a pita to replace the harnesses so i went the cheap and easy route and havent been disappointed..

and yes the truck is much faster... when that knock sensor CEL goes all the timing goes full retard

Thanks! We almost have the same truck!

Thanks! The prerunner did fine on the front range last winter, but it didn't stand a chance in the hills...even with 300lbs of sand in the bed. 4wd kicks ass.
