    Lmao that what happens when you use a real smoker OST not your woman smoker. Nothing's burnt. It's the way they come out when you use only wood in a smoker. I use charcoal to get the temp up and then its all wood from there on out. The skin just turns black but it's the best part. My neighbors brought their friends over and they are my turkey instead of the one they made.

    Also news flash... It's almost impossible to burn something on a real smoker. The heat is so far away and there is no direct flame it you would have to miss the mark totally. And that won't happen at 20 mins a pound on a turkey. Also a hit for you "oven smokers". Any kind of sugar in your rubs will make the skin of anything you cook black. Should work in your non traditional smokers as well....

    It's very dark, the meat Is not burnt at all. It would be less dark if Id let the charcoal burn off before putting the bird in but I didn't want to wait. And yes I'm sure your oven makes great bark. :D and where is the meat burnt in he photo other than the dark skin?
