I am thinking about installing my CB radio permanently in my dash.

If I got a single din dash kit, with a pocket below to put the cb in, What would be a good single din head unit to put in the truck?

Did you figure out your lights?

I didn't have any problems like that when I did mine. Did you plug your ballasts into the factory wiring? IIRC you only have to plug in one side.

^That is the same radio I have.

I plan on doing somehing just like that. I am in the process of looking for a decent head unit to replace the factory one.

The only thing I had to do was drill some new holes in the mounting plates to suit the CB's thumb screws. Pretty straighforward install.

Oh yea, the gap at the bottom? That's a piece of plastic paint roller tray duct taped to the bottom of the CB.

Thinking of a kit like this, and mounting the cb in the lower compartment.

Never done it. It just sounds stupid haha I get up at 4 through the week for work. Hell if I'm getting up to fight 300 people to save 50%. Their only discounting what they marked it up.
