I've been meaning to ask what you actually do....is it like a cyber security thing or can you say?

 

Haha nah, not cyber security. I can say what I do, just prefer not to put it out on public places anymore.

 

That would be more entertaining sometimes

 

You could always get all the required classes and what not, then go back to school and do a double major with something incredibly easy to raise your gpa then apply

 

I'm a machinist, work in precision manufacturing. Current make and repair valves and hydraulics, use to make turbine parts though

 

Understandable. I've just been considering a military avenue lately....because i refuse to pay for college any further and i don't want my parents to pay for it either.

 

I'll stick with fire fighting I reckon

 

Easy way to go if you do 4 years active duty or go reserve (not sure how guard works). I've got ~$70,000 that I can use towards college whenever I feel like it.

Nope I love it haha do it while im in school, going to go to medical school and be an orthopedic surgeon. Well thats the plan right now haha

 

Does anyone have experience with Yakima racks? Im looking at the railgrab and just curious how well they are made. Putting the rtt on the canopy after I get them

 

They are pretty sweet. I made parts for turbines that make power and some parts for aerospace turbines

 

Problem is, i don't want to be gone for many months and i'd prefer not to leave North America.

Its just a thought. I'm not very good at making smart ones sometimes

 

Thought about it. Also i'm a pussy and don't like flying. Boats i am okay with. I can swim....flying hurts my arms too much lol

 

4 years of Air Force reserve or guard and I doubt you'll be deployed. Definitely not overseas as a permanent duty station.

As a Reservist you only work at the base one weekend a month and 2 weeks out of the year. So they're not going to send you overseas unless you're gunning for it.

As Guard, you'll work for the Maryland coast guard. So you won't even leave your home state.

And saying you don't want to join because you don't like flying is a joke. There are more flying jobs in the Navy than the Air Force haha 99% chance you're not going to get a flying job as an enlisted reservist or guardsman.

I'm definitely happy with my choice. As much as I dislike not being able to see family/gf when I want, I would have never seen what I have and probably never leave my small town area like everybody else. Military will definitely open anybody's eyes to so much culture and points of view.

That being said I don't plan on re-enlisting if everything goes as planned in the next 3 and a half years.

 

Thats the problem but professional drifter, stunt driver, racecar driver, rally car diver, baja driver etc. are a little far fetched.

One must be realistic with one's self

 

I'm still holding on to the idea of being a trophy truck driver representative for the Air Force

 

I only added that because its important to me. Its a fear of mine.
