Serious rake. Gained about 2.5" total. Can you imagine what it would look like with the extended shaclkes on it.

Not fully, the OSK and hi-lift and spare are in there. Maybe half of fully loaded. Still a lot of weight but not all of that it will be.

Not bad actually. Very similar to what it was. Overall, seems better, a little more stable. Not too stiff thankfully.

How well if flexes is to be determined.

 

Well..its alcans so hopefully good! Especially after some break in. Maybe we will be able to go out a bit and put the flex on them

I suspect you are correct.

There is an issue. The passenger side front main eye bolt will not torque down. Must be stripped. I will have to replace it.

It is not stock. It was a greasable shaft with nuts on both ends. Will probably have to be cut off. I have been driving it that way (obviously).

It it true that the front mount is meant to clamp down on the front bushings? The FSM says 116 ft lbs of torque. Seems like a lot...

 

Yea it is a lot. But it does press em down a bit.

 

I've ordered replacements from wheelers. Expensive. $24 with shipping

Seems more likely to happen out flexing on the trail. It has not budged at all so far. But I hear what you are saying. That bolt will have to be cut off with eitther a cutoff wheel or sazall or similar.

Hey Man U don't have a wright up on how you did this do you? I'm having such a hard time finding a spot for my solenoid, I have the same xrc8 winch.

Also what ladder r u running on your tent? My telescope one busted last year I'm in need of a new one.

 

I don't have a write up. But I put the solenoid in the bumper which should be in that post. I've seen them mounted behind the grill too.

I then just extended the wires from the solenoid to the plug in the cab! Pretty simple.

The ladder is a solid two piece sliding ladder. I like it much better then the telescoping one I had before.

I'm sure if you called Bobby he would sell you one. I have also seen them on another site. Think it was..china4x4..I'll see if I can find it.

 

It is fairly easy to relocate the plug as Monte pointed out. I recall there are only 4 wires that you have to extend and the plug itself that has to be relocated.

This is the inside of my X2O solenoid box, its the small gauge wires on the one side. Your XRC8 box will be virtually identical.
