Hello Michael & congratulations on your purchase! You WON'T regret it! A great advantage (suspension-wise) over 4WD.

Last time I saw you, your truck had the 17" OEM TRD Sport wheels. Are you planning to use those or go aftermarket? From what I've read, you will need to use Spacers for the front so the wheels (if you stick with your OE Wheels) don't rub against the spindle. Also, keep in mind that your front trac width will increase by almost 1" per side + 1.25 (Spidertrax Spacer) so you'll have almost 4.5"'s of width MORE in the front than the rear. Of course, you can always run Spacers out back but the front will still be wider.

There is nothing wrong with that at all. It just depends on the look you are going for. I saw the Maxtrac Thread & Bandit is running FJ wheels on his set-up without front spacers. I already had the wheels on my truck & I did not want the fronts sticking out more than the rear so it worked out perfect for my taste. FJ wheels have .75 less offset (stick out more) than the TRD Sport wheels.

My current specs (and mudflap info) with some stance pics below. Not the best pics for showing stance but the best that I have.

2008 Double Cab Short Bed Automatic 4.0 V6
FRONT: OEM PreRunner coils, 5100's @ .85, MaxTrac Spindles, 1/4" Taco lean spacer.
ground to fender base: LF & RF: 40"'s
hub to fender base::::: LF & RF: 25"'s

REAR: 2012 OEM 3/1 leafs, Wheelers 3 leaf AAL, 2" Tapered steel block. Bilstein F4-BE5-B110-T5
ground to fender base: LR & RR: 41"'s
hub to fender base::::: LR & RR: 26"'s
    Spidertrax 1.25" spacers (rear only)
All mud flaps trimmed 4"'s shorter.

    Wider stance also improves handling:

BTW, Wheelers is the company that sells the Spidertrax in black. I didn't want blue.

    I have a few mods
I thought you needed a 17" rim with factory bs to clear the spindle without spacers. My wheels are 16s but have 4.5 bs and without my spacers they clear the spindles. Your TRD sports should clear the spindle without spacers. That's what maxtrac says at least on their Web page. I put my spacers back on because I like the look of the wider stance
