Water pump at 18,000 miles, covered under warranty. It was leaking very slowly from the weep hole.

At 80,000 miles and nothing else except maintenance items (ie battery, tires, etc).

One Ujoint at 70k (100 bucks at a mechanic), and one front wheel bearing at 91k (270 for DYI ready to bolt on hub assembly from BamaToy1997). I guess I have the A/C blower clicking too, but I really don't care

my HVAC blower motor started doing the annoying clicking sound at 20k in my 2011. Also replaced my leaf packs at 22k they were doing their annoying squeak so the dealer shipped just replaced the whole leaf pack. I know the Op said nothing about the radio but had to replace my radio at 100 miles. Replaced battery after 3 years due to it being corroded the Toyota corrosion prevent rings are bs!

I see that a noisy blower motor is a common complaint. This occurs on many vehicles, and here is a tip that a guy who rebuilds electric motors gave me many years ago. Maybe I have just been lucky but by following this I have never had a vehicle blower motor fail or get noisy: Never turn your fan to the off position. Always keep it at least one notch up from low. {Speed #2 out of 4 in my Tacoma.) When you drive with the fan off, wind that blows through the air ducts will spin the fan at various speeds depending on prevailing winds and vehicle speed. This causes the motor bearings to wear more because the magnetism of the energized windings is not there to hold the shaft in the right position since it is not running under power.

I would be interested to hear whether those with noisy blower motors have been driving with the fan off. Like I said the above is just something I heard, but it was from a knowledgeable person and it has worked for me.

+1 on the blower motor. I had mine go out a few weeks ago when we had subzero temperatures! Then it would come back on but make weird noises so had it replaced. I'm almost at 145k miles though.

2011 Tacoma. First radio would go on and off. On its own at 30K. Replaced under warranty. But They have broken and scratched the vinyl trim and face plate. Been replaced twice and each time they break something new. 4th trip to dealer today only to have wrong parts.

Heat motor making chirping noises at 37K. Dealer looked at it and said was leaf. Truck smelled of WD40. Maybe 5 miles down the road and it starts back up again.

Not impressed with the decline of what was a first class operation. Dealers ownr died and been down hill ever since.

Right front Bilstein strut was leaking at 34k, replaced under warranty (Turd mechanic from stealership tore the outer CV boot and did not replace it, had to go back to stealership 3 or 4 times to get everything taken care of). Other than pulsation from warped brake rotors no other problems (now at 72k). 2009 Double cab TRD 4x4.

I was on a back road in a pelting rainstorm and got hit with some mud and rock washing down the hill and the impact killed the right headlight bulb.

No personal offense meant, but I have to disagree.
    I'm going on 60-y/o.
I have never been a union worker, but both my parents were at various times. Both also were on negotiation committees. My pop also worked as a meditator in other non-national shop union type places.

I've worked in virtually every field at one time or another.
From picking fruit to working on jets and now a nurse.
Barely 10% of US workers are union, most of those in the public sector.
Are there, have there been union abuses? Sure.
But to lay everything on "the unions" is simply not true.

Is it the workers fault companies source parts as cheaply as possible?
Quality of starting materials has a major impact on finished results, doesn't matter how good the craftsman.

I've seen great management and terrible management.
When the company and leadership leads, makes it clear workers are the primary reason for the companies success, communicates honestly and openly, solicits and implements winning ideas, and compensates fairly, better morale gets better results.

If management gives people crap materials and makes it abundantly clear management thinks you and every other worker is a crowd of infinitely replaceable serfs, then promptly awards themselves huge increases in pay, bonuses, and other options while still poor mouthing your pay and bennies, well, no, people will tend not to feel as motivated.

I've rehabbed several different 100-y/o+ row homes.
If the home was in the good part of town, built to sell to a guy with money, you see better craftsmanship.
If it was built for some immigrant/factory worker, it was slapped up as quickly and cheaply as possible.
In the day of the Great Pyramid, some guy was bitching the quality wasn't the same as when he worked on the Mastabas.

Since the dawn of man somebody has complained:
"People don't work like they used to. My Granpop had to use his bare hands to beat a wooly mammoth to death, then him and Granma ate it raw by crawling into it's bodily orifices, and fed the kids by puking it up.
Nowadays, these young'uns have spears and slings, but they cry they need something called a bow and arrow, whatever that is. And try to get these young'uns to crawl into a mammoth butt today. 'Oh, it stinks!, they say. 'Granpa, we use a knife now. And we use fire to warm the meat.' That's another thing, fire. People just getting soft. Don't get me started."

So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
Tires wore out pretty quick. Head light went out a few times. Wiper blades. These don't seem like fails to me, well the tires are i guess. The climate control lights don't always work and I'm having the same issue with the right front corner light. I reach in or tap the lens from the outside and it'll work for a while. That's a fail but not fixing right now.

Trans ECM failed just under 50 K. Warranty covered everything. Fortunately for me they installed a New Trans first and two days later realized it wasn't the trans, It was the ECM : )
