The sound quality makes it sound terrible. It sure is a nice fit in there.

I've thought about doing a 1uz or a 3uz swap. Just didn't want to do the body lift for the exhaust

Shouldn't have too. You can swap a 1UZ into the a pickup engine bay without a body lift so I don't see why it wouldn't in a Tacoma engine bay.

Who do I talk to at SDHQ to get a TW discount when I call? I PM'd SDHQ on the forum but no response yet. Just trying to get the best price I can.

Ask for Vince. He's the one on here for them. Or Jason, either of them will hook you up!

What would the Toyota ECU even control without a drivetrain? Probably doing an LS3 swap in a few years.

Gotcha. I do have a manual, and will stay manual when I swap. Most likely pairing it to an Atlas.

Why would you keep the toyota transmission when swapping to an LS? You would kill it in no time.

Hp isnt the problem its the torque and trying to move a heavy truck with big tires in the desert. Pretty sure advance adapters makes an adapter for a t56 to atlas.

R150 is pretty much the same as a r154 which supra turbos come with and it'll hold 600hp and 600ftlb torque all day.

That said, I'm planning more of a 2jzgte swap.

those who have solid mounted their lowers:
do you run a big ass bolt the inner bushing size all the way through? or use a sleeve and a slightly smaller bolt (like the way the cam tabs are designed?)
I was thinking of either option a or cutting the cam tab sleeves to size and using those and the stock size bolt. I feel like maybe its not a good idea to not have sleeves but on the other hand might be totally fine...
    input?

Big ass bolt that fits the bushing sleeve. Much stronger

My R150 gave up this year. It has survived many years of being thrashed on but something related to third gear is currently bouncing around in there.

I made it up olds easily with the paddles, engine felt awesome. Felt the drive train lighter with the paddles than the bajas. I went inside the big dunes with no problems.
