Why would I chop up a new Colorado that'll never see dirt just to lift it a few inches. It seems silly. If she pulls the trigger she will want it left stock.

Motor Trend just had a little comparison between the Colorado and the '15 TRD Pro. They said the Chevy was the better overall truck. The only kudos they gave the Taco was it was the better off-roader.

I just read that article myself. MT complained about the ride of the TRD Pro vs the Colorado Z71 Off-Road. Here is a quote from the article, "It (TRD Pro) seems way more oriented for off-roading. The exposed suspension bits are a visual telltale." A more fairer comparison would have used the Tacoma Off-Road , IMO.

So the comparison is just tossing paper. They didn't even, you know, drive both trucks?

I'm not passing judgment on the new Colorado / Canyon since I haven't seen or driven one in person, but Motor Trend has been playing up the new trucks since the beginning, even proclaiming the Colorado the "Best Mid Size Truck" before they even drove and tested one. I usually like the Motor Trend reviews but they lost all credibility with me when they did that. They were basically going off the spec sheets from GM.

Anyone taking bets on how long until someone does a krazie oil change on these trucks?

Just saw a Colorado drive by with temp tags. Wtf I thought they were supposed to be mid size trucks. It was huge

I just hope Toyota doesn't grow the Tacoma any further with 3rd gen.

^Unless, of course, they grow the Tundra as well... CAFE calculations favor trucks with large "footprint". The extra crush space also helps with crash safety ratings.

Interesting read in page 3: http://sandyblogs.com/techlink/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Oct-Techlink-2014-F.pdf

GM went to a brushless blower motor, so it in theory should never chirp. [IMG] However, there's now a 5-sec delay after you turn the fan speed knob before the blower gets to the right speed.

In access cab models, the rear seat headrest doesn't fold down, but you can remove the headrest and store it on the front edge of the seat cushion:

    Exactly my fear.

Yep. I managed to find one on the lot today, a total base model but as least I kind of got a peek. The inside looks pretty tiny. What I don't like either is if you look at it from the side, for some reason they curved the backside of the cab a bunch. Takes away from potential storage space under the seat to me. And the shock mounts are super low, which I already noticed on the pics haha.

On a side note I saw a commercial for the new GMC version of the Silverado. They have automatic fold away tow mirrors and bright back up flood lights built into them. Thought it was kind of cool :anonymous:
