Yea I told him to flush it. He is due for his 60k service so he will get it flushed under warranty.

 

Does he have an aftermarket fuild cooler? Like a true cool setup.

No he doesn't. He was just luggin it up the mountain. Didn't have the scan gauge to tranny temps as he usually monitors it close.

 

This could be. I was looking too. No luck.

I'm actually a little surprised this is still happening after re-gearing. Mine got a lot better after the 4.88s. I still plan to add a cooler before next summer tho. I may do a new radiator too, as a precautionary move..

 

Yea idk. Truck is a pig and big tires..who knows.

 

I had issues as well. Had same guy tune mine. I actually did a tune running down i80 with wifi hotspot and laptop in passenger seat. My idle has evened out after going to 76mm TB. Used to idle shotty when hot.

 

It ever get better? Been kinda disappointing.

 

Yeah the idle is better.

Gas pedal every once in a while goes dead while driving. I think it is a wiring issue someplace. Either in the pedal assembly or harness.

 

well wasn't the whole gas pedal thing the recall on a bunch of toyotas? should have taken it to the dealer for that for a new sensor.

His just pegs out to 10.1 AFR under any load, way to rich. i don't think its had an issue idling, just running in general

 

That was part of the Runaway Prius recall. Toyota only did on all vehicles to cover their asses. All they did was cut the bottom of the pedal off so it couldn't get caught under the floor mat and reflash the ECU so that if you hit the brakes it will close the throttle body whether you are pushing the throttle or not. All throttle by wire vehicles got the recall.

As far as I know they didn't swap any sensors or anything.

 

Tell him to check his oil. So he is not washing his cylinder walls.

I figured this would be appropriate to tell you since I bag on your rtt expo bull shit all the time...but I have now found a reason why i really want an rtt tent and why I have to build expo capabilities into my truck...I want a tent so With the truck built up I can drive around chasing powder on the weekends and not worry about staying in expensive ass hotels
