Made a truck bed topper lift. I used a set of 400lb WLL cam buckle straps, Snap-Loc single tie down anchors and Loc-Ring Anchors bolted through the top to a couple 2x4s for added support. It works surprisingly well. Just requires a bit of finagling and lining things up when putting the topper back on. Plus, I can take the Loc-Ring Anchors off when the topper's on the truck.

Simplicity of using this system could be improved with a block and tackle to lift the topper, but I'm happy with how this worked without it and didn't think it was worth it.

All I see here in Alabama are lifted diesels lol. I get kind of tired of them. Jealous of your snow. The wheeling part... Not the driving in it part lol. Glad we don't have to deal with it here

Never be jealous of the snow. Granted, I love winter. I spent the entire weekend ice fishing. However, snow means car cancer (rust). Everything rusts, the cold is hard on the drivetrain and vehicles don't last.

If anything, I'm jealous of the south and southwest. Even on this board, many members 15+ year old trail rigs have a cleaner undercarriage than your average 2 year old car here.

Oh I agree with you whole heartedly. No doubt I would rather live and own a vehicle down here, but we dont have the offroad "parks" and trails that northern states have. Atleast, nowhere near me. Damn Alabama. Nothin but mud :pout:

Nope, it's only 8" so I had to walk. Saturday was nice in the mid 30's. Yesterday had negative windchills and very windy. My popup had ice on the interior walls even with the buddy heater on high and it blew halfway across the lake before I could chase it down and stake it.

It was cold and windy enough yesterday that my nightfall, the ice was developing stress cracks. Had a few cracks appear directly underneath me and you could hear the cracks echo walking back to shore:eek:
