Some of the stuff I was looking at on Newegg actually went up in price today. Seems to be the opposite of how Cyber Monday is supposed to work.

Are you on Android? Sounds like Tapatalk is set as the default app to handle messages. You could try going to Settings > App Manager > Tapatalk > Clear Defaults. Next time you open a message, you should be asked to use Tapatalk Just Once, or as the default action.

    Morning.

Took the day off of work. Furnace was being really smelly this weekend so I've had it off and I've got a tech in taking a look at it. Replaced the filter hoping that'd solve the smell, but while it got better, it didn't fix the problem. Not sure if the smell was more moldy or burny, so I didn't want to take any chances. I'm handy enough, but that's one of those things I didn't want to mess with this weekend since if I got it wrong it's a potential fire hazard. I'm thinking it's just a good cleaning, but we'll see.

My lawn tractor decided to act up to boot. It came with the house so that was pretty awesome. It's an older Sabre by John Deere model which is probably junk at this point, but I've been trying to go through it and get it back up to snuff. When I smelled it while I was driving around, I pulled off the hook and heatshield and found this goo all over the motor that was smelling bad. I assumed it was from mice, so I inspected all the usual places (inside the heat fins under the engine cover) and found nothing. I did find a random plastic fastener sitting inside motor between the fins and valve cover which was melting, but whether or not that was my issues, who knows. I cleaned off all the goo, so hopefully that will solve the smell issues.

To top it off, I had a delightful issue with an eBay auction to boot. Sold the fiancee's iPhone 4S. Buyer contacts me and claims he purchased it by mistake (really?!). I sent him an auction cancellation which all he had to do was accept and I'd get my money back. He responded by saying okay, I'll buy it anyways, but I please make sure it's reset and confirm it's a 4S and not a 4. Umm...when I showed pictures of it online I clearly showed it was ready for sale, along with pictures showing the SIM location as well as mentioning in my description specifically that I pulled the SIM. Then, no more response from him, so my cancellation finally went through (he didn't accept, eBay just granted it to me).

Not my best weekend. Hopefully today after lunch I can start in on getting the snowblower ready for winter, finish cleaning up and moving my BFGs into the cellar for the winter and go from there.

    /rant.

I finally have the chance to go off and pick up my 1911! Even though I can't shoot till Saturday, I figure I'll disassemble it and give it a once over. It'd be fun to do a shooting meet soon!

I might be down for a shooting meet. Depends on where and when. In the great state of MA, I don't think we could make it happen. If it's in NH, would depend on when since it could end up being a little bit of a hike.
