Ok errbody, we're less than a week out, time for some details.

Since many of us will be coming up 101, I propose a meeting place in Santa Rosa, we can band up and caravan to the trail.

How about Badass Coffee off Mark west Springs? We've met up there before, decent coffee, plenty of parking. 0800?

    Badass Coffee
90 Mark W Springs Rd, Santa Rosa, CA 95403

    0800 meetup.

From there we can caravan to Upper Lake, there's a good gas stop right before we head into the MNF. Once there we can meet at Middlecreek campground, which is basically at the bottom of the trail. If there's anyone who is coming in over hwy 20, or will already be in the area (camping and whatnot) 2nd meeting place is

    Middlecreek Campground
Located 8 miles north of Upper Lake on County Road 301 (Forest Road M-1/Elk Mt Road)
    Lat - 39° 15' 09.46080", Long - 122° 57' 01.76399"

Basically follow Mendenhall ave off of hwy 20
Past the ranger station to Elk Mt road, leads you right to Middlecreek. It's right as you enter the MNF.

    1100 meetup.

Sound good everybody?? Post up thoughts/suggestions, and if you're down to meet up at the first location. I just think it's fun to caravan up there with a bunch of BA trucks taking up the road!

Never been to the area. Do you know what possible routes we might take? Guessing M1 and maybe some offshoots?

Ya my plan was to head up m1, branch off 16N01 towards Deer Valley Campground. Maybe stop at the campground and fool around, stretch the legs, maybe eat some lunch. There's a bunch of good trees around that campground. From there i figure folks can kinda go wherever they please, hunt down some good trees, explore, whatevs!

And props on the convoy vid! That's what I'm talkin' about!

I put in for my permit last week. Last year they turned it around really fast. If I get my permit this week, me and the family are in!

Update for anyone who doesn't have a permit:

The ranger station has no weekend permit pickup available, but Hi-Way Grocery in Upper Lake sells them for the ranger district. They are open at 8am on Saturday morning. Asked the ranger station about snow conditions. They said all rain so far. I heard Ferny was snow dancin in his chonies for his trip yesterday. Maybe we all need to do the same
