None yet, but its about to get rolling.
Need some advice guys. Got my GF a canon sl1 last Christmas and she is always wanting to shoot macro stuff so that's what her Xmas is gonna be.
Anyone shot with the canon 60mm or 100mm macro EFs lenses?

Any other advice on macro in general?

100mm. You can also use a set of extension tubes that let you use almost any lens.

Cool shot. Have you tried to get a shot with a train going through the frame? Would be cool with the light streaks.

I thought the same thing, but that would be terrible for the bank account long term.

    Nice.

Thanks! These trains are actually quiet as I believe they run on the electric power lines and they're a source of public transportation for the Portland area.

Thanks! No, I haven't attempted to get a shot with the train going through. Last night was too cold for me to stand outside in my sweaty gym clothes to wait for the train. Next time for sure.

Is this a composite of multiple shots? Looks like the man and woman are at different distances but both in focus.

Nope. Shot at f/5.6 on a Fuji X100s. Crop sensor gives me a little more dof to play with, which is a big upside for street photos. It's also a 23mm lens (35mm equiv) so the wider angle helps too.

Also, think about the plane of focus. It isn't square to the car but cutting through it diagonally.

Cool, yeah I can see that it is not square to the car, but it still seems like you are much closer to the driver than the woman, just an illusion of perspective.

The focus area is generally about 2/3 behind and 1/3 in front of your focus point. I guess that helped me out here ha she is actually just a little soft at 100% compared to him.
