Looking for my 2000 4x4. Let me know if you want to part with it. Also what's up with the sending unit?

expect 17" unless you want bumpsteer and to go through racks a lot. there is also issues running the bypasses on the race kit, they have to be angled toward the firewall to clear the upper arm, or build a new arm yourself. but they made it that way to be bolt on

    check out this guys truck

Front long travel custom: king 10" CO, solid lowers, fabbed spindle, heimed everything ect. Rear still in progress, waiting to be put on: bilstein 9100s, T100 axle. Stock 3.4 engine, 4.30 gears.
That and probably setting up whatever shocks to an engine cage, I don't see why it's bumping off the lower and using an 8 inch shock....

Same truck I posted a few days ago, what's wrong with running a bypass outside the arm like that?

I'm too old to care about all the petty brand loyalty stuff that seems to happen on internet forums (no offense to anyone in particular) but for what it's worth, I originally day dreamed about having the Camburg race kit for my 1st Gen. It's a great set up with quality parts and I have nothing bad to say about Camburg. If your budget is fairly robust it's the way to go, especially if you're considering pairing it up with a complimentary rear end at some point down the line.

But I ended up going local (to me at the time) and Matt at MCM Fab built us a comparable kit that I believe is very favorably priced. If you haven't pulled the trigger, I'd recommend calling him at least to hear his pitch and pricing before you decide. I personally believe our kit is every bit as solid as the Camburg kit and we've put it through a pretty fair amount of abuse over the last few years.

At the end of the day there is no shortage of good options and all will probably work well for whatever you intend to do with it.

PS, agreed on the expecting closer to 17" probably for any kit you want to keep alive. Ours is strapped in that neighborhood and we've had zero rack issues to date (knock on wood). And as Vince at SDHQ mentioned previously I believe, Dan Vance's truck is strapped around 15" and that truck works as good as any out there. So I personally wouldn't get myself all wrapped up in the numbers.

Where's a good place to order glassworks bedsides?

I've heard all the negative stories about ordering directly from glassworks, and i'd love to get mine in a timely fashion.

I would order mcneil, but after repeatedly trying to contact them directly to see if they had standard bed flat top bedsides with no response i figure I'd order glassworks through a dealer.

I haven't had any real problems with Glassworks since Tim's nephew John started helping him out. I just ordered a hood for my truck and all the glass for my brother's Ranger. Also if you want to go through a third party rather than direct you should try LSK.

I'll give glassworks a call and feel them out. Thank you.

Any other guys have recent dealings with glassworks?

If you aren't local to Glassworks get ready for the run around. I had to drive to their shop 3 times before I finally got mine. Going through a shop would help with pressuring them.

My first order with Glassworks took three weeks to get here (El Paso, TX) when everything was "in stock" but it was a week before X-mas so idk if that affected processing. My second order took two weeks to be delivered but I did request for custom bedsides for my Tacoma. My now third order I am expecting delays on too because I ordered a custom pieces once again but John has been very helpful since he started working with Tim.

I just moved to Oregon. These are the horror stories ive read about.
I tried contacting mcneil with no luck.

Ls1, is it best to contact John and not talk to Tim?

I've had alot of success with McNeil. I did pick up my glass. But this last time mark hand delivered it to my house on a last minute trip

I had the same run around when order my fenders from glass works. Missing tracking numbers, false dates, pretty much the same thing everyone else is saying.

Imo yeah, John always answers text or calls. My first order was with Tim and to get ahold of him was a nightmare.

I know most of the az guys went through sdhq but then they got the wrong stuff after waiting months. Sdhq is a big shop too so I'd expect more. They also got the run around
