    Oh yeah , without a doubt but they are waders and the pond is 17' deep of the end of the pier and has 1 1/2" of ice on it . I've see him out there every couple days for the last few months

    Yep. Mpix is great, love the quality of the prints, they're super fast at processing/shipping them, and they package everything up really well (totally waterproof in case they're left on the porch,etc). I get coupons from them occasionally. I'll try to remember to pas them along to you next time.

    In general you want the opening of the mat to be at least 1/4" smaller than the photo so you have a little overlap.

    Another option....do you know anyone who quilts? A large cutting mat and rotary cutter for fabrics makes quick work of cutting straight edges too.

    Awesome that would be much appreciated! I think my mom has one of those cutters....if she can find it..... :rolleyes: maybe I'll try that first then go the mat route since I've already framed two this way and they'll match

    I know you have a bunch of options but I've used a razor blade and a straight edge in the past to remove borders. Works pretty good.

    Lately, I've had quite a few students printing their photos on metal for various art shows which many online printers will do including where Lisa mentioned^^^. It's sets them off nicely IMO.
