I'm going to pull off the tires tomorrow and check the brakes and any loose connections from the suspension.

It's probably limiting it but, I'm not doing any crazy off-roading just some intermediate stuff and dirt trails.

I have a feeling that the bottom mounting part where you can adjust the height is on upside down. hard to tell from your pics

I think your coils may be inverted after comparing yours to mine. Thats the only thing I can think of unless its missing bushings or retainers under the top hat.

The coils are correctly oriented. The brown anti-slap sleeve that is wrapped around the last coil should be at the top. Picture of factory OEM Bilstein for reference:

I suspect the shop didn't get the stackup of center shaft washers and bushings in the correct order, or omitted some parts by mistake.

I'll agree with this as well. You do not have enough travel. That is if everything was installed right.

Mine clunk after an alignment. The bolt where they adjust it was not tight enough. Needs to be 100 ft lbs torque if i remember. So getting down there with a ratchet to check if it's tight will not work. You need a torque bar.

This could be it too. When I had the lift adjusted to 1.75", I got the alignment done right away. I had my buddy at the tire shop recheck the alignment cause I told him it was clunking a little.

I think it's time for me to get dirty tonight. I'm going to check my brakes, suspension and that alignment bolt tonight with the tires off.

    Hey mytaco77,

I recently did my 5100's, but set to 2.5", and I too had a knock that i couldn't figure out. Felt like it was coming from under my feet, and only occured once in a while.
Lifted the truck up plenty of times, and couldn't replicate the sound. Then finally, i took a rubber mallet and a long pry bar to see if I could hear any hollow sounds from a hit, or find any movement.
Turns out, one of the bushings in the swaybar was gone, and enought to bounce it around on the random bump, or hard braking.
Pulled the sway bar out completely, and the knocking is gone.

Suggest just getting under the truck and give the sway bar a yank in a few different directions and see if that remedies anything?

Ok here's my check list for tonight:

    1. Get a torque wrench and make sure the alignment bolt is at 100lbs
    2. Check the brakes and make sure its all tighten correctly
    3. Check the sway bar bolts
    4. Double check all the suspension bolts

Alright so I found the issue. The passenger side alignment bolt was really loose and after tightening to 100lbs the issue is gone. I'm going to test on the dirt this week and see what happens but, there is no more clunk when I shift in gear or over speed bumps or when I back into my driveway. This was driving me nuts you have no idea.

Hats off to everyone for the help. Thanks for your insight. Best forum.

How does it ride at the 1.75" with the Trd coils. I'm assuming you have the off road coils?

It rides nice. I've never rode in a Taco w/ 5100s w/ eibach springs so I have nothing to compare it to but, I had complements on how smooth my ride is. Yes, I have the TRD Off Road Stock springs.
