This summer I recently traded in my brand new camaro v6 2LT for a 2012 tacoma trd off-road 4x4. I love it so far and it rides 10x better than my camaro did. Im looking into lifting it 3 inches but I'm only 18 so money is kind of tough. By new years I should have $1500 saved up. The lifts I've been looking at were a pro comp 3 inch suspension lift or just go with bilstein 5100 up front with a 1.5 aal in the rear. The pro comp lift is $600 but southern offroad was gonna make me pay $1100 to buy it and have it installed. I'm not sure how much the bilstein setup would cost to have it installed. I'm wanting to be able to fit 285/75/16. Any ideas on what I should do with my limited budget?

Personally I would go the Billstein route with the AAL. You should have enough to add Eibach Springs without spending any more on labor and still be within your spending limit.
It is a fantastic option and will do just what you need it too. Not to aggressive yet still handles well on and off road.
There is plenty of info on both lifts here to make a sound decision. GL

I went with Bilsteins in the front with OME 887s, that gave me a full 3 " in front, and a 1.5"HD AAL in the rear, totally level and while I am still running 265s, have plenty of room to fit 285s. The Bilstein 5100s/887s + 1.5" HD AAL from Wheelers came out to about $700 shipped. They are awesome, since they don't charge sales tax and sometimes will offer TW members a discount. Good luck!

Excellent choice. This is exactly what I had on a 2011 at one time and loved the ride.

Which OME coil should you use for a DCSB? I want to achieve a true 3 inch front lift with my 5100s. No matter what coil I use do I need to set it at .85 to get the full 3 inches? Or is there a coil that allows me to have it at the lowest setting for 3"?
