Not trying to piss you off (though it sounds like I may have). I actually want to know more about your solution to the piss poor stock power harness that the Taco comes with, and why you think BamaToy's solution isn't fit to solve it.

Yea thats what i did with mine, as im sure you know..and mikes. Just make them with quick diconnects.

Thats one of the pros to the CS144 for me. It fits with basically no major modification.

 i just heard you say in my head "Hard to say...."

hahahaha oh man. Good times

I guess you could go to a junk yard and pull one out of a wrecked something..they are in a lot of cars. The Caddy one is the one i have..then you could just have it rebuilt by an Alt shope..hell probably get it upgraded to 185 easy and still have the high idle output.

Did you not see Bourne Legacy? The gun..won..just saying :luvya:

Yup, that's what I mean't. I wasn't sure if you had the doors with the ovals or the doors with the whole cloth side though. I would need quite a bit of material to do mine (whole cloth side :p)

I bought so much fabric because I figured I would screw up the headliner and have to start again. But I did it first try and now I have 7 yards to mess with.

Ah okay. I have this weird thing that sometimes my AC doesn't trigger unless I push the knob all the way over. It's like on or off, no in between.

Been wanting to mount a tablet in mine for wheelin at the local park so i can have a large map to always follow. It will happen eventually.

Don't let it bother you man. Nothing wrong with Bamatoy's kit, I'm running it with no problems at all. Still get 14.5 volts at idle myself with everything running, lights, heater and all. In reality, it don't mean shit.

It's not about the volts, it's all about the amps. Volts mean nothing other than meeting the minimum requirements. I'm surprised I never see anybody talk about an old fashioned AMP Gauge....used to be standard back in the day. The only accurate way to see what's going into and out of the battery.

Voltage gauge, btw, doesn't tell you crap. Totally fucking useless for knowing the actual state of your charge. A low battery incapable of starting the engine can still show 12-13 volts. Car battery and lawn mower battery will both show same volts. Yet the lawn mower battery won't run yo winch.

I've run the winch just fine, have yet to see a battery or alternator give up the ghost.

I'm not sure what the problem is with where the kit was made. The truck was designed in Japan, built in America with Japanese parts and assembled most likely, with migrant labor, on a Friday. Hence the clunk.:p

In the end, it's his truck and he can do what he wants. We get to see if it works or not.

Amp clamp is a very important tool. I use my amp clamp all the time to check the amp load on generators
