    I'm under the impression that if you don't have stock leafs on your truck, then Toyota won't "fix" yours when that time comes.

    I received a letter as well.

    They are probably trying to figure out how to retrofit another leaf retention clip onto the existing leaf packs

    Could be. A clip still isn't going to prevent breaking, sagging or corroding, just maybe puncturing the gas tank. My 3 pack is almost negative arch. I think Toyotasan is between a rock and a hard place on this one. A couple clips aint worth a trip to the dealer.

    Yeah but all they are trying to address is the chance of the broken spring puncturing the gas tank

    Leaf packs are wear items as far as Toyota is concerned

    Yes they have the same springs except for one change ,,,,, wait for it ..... another spring retention clip

    Which is why they aren't part of the recall and why I would put money on Toyota's fix to this recall being an added retention clip and not a leaf spring Oprah show moment for every one with a 2005-2011 Tacoma
