I still have 2 Chevy Colorados in the enforcement fleet I manage. Even if Chevy doubled their QC on the new ones, that would barely make them half as reliable as the Tacoma. Yes, the Tacoma has its issues, but I have no words to convey to people what an utterly miserable pile of lukewarm diarrhea the Chevy is.

I'd buy another one. My '13 has been pretty much flawless up to 34K miles. I fluid filmed the frame so hopefully it doesn't rust, I'd like to keep this truck for 10+ years.

If the Chevy proves itself reliable over the next 3 or 4 years I'll take a look at it, but not until then.

valid points.. I would assume there is a kit out for the Tundy trans as well.. might have to check with IPT to see if they do one for it. I thoroughly enjoy mine on the Taco.

this is all hypothetical and down the road anyways.. so who knows.. by then.. I could be in a damn Corolla or hatchback.. the latter i wouldnt mind honestly.. if it was sporty.. like a TDI or R Golf or something similar.

Josh if you go buy a FERD, you might as well just publicly announce that you take it in the butt...

But that's none of my business though....

I'm hoping I wont have to buy another midsize truck for a very very long time. If I totaled my Tacoma I would certainly go buy a new one, but so long as mine keeps kicking it'll be my DD.

I'm planning my next vehicle purchase to be the FT-01 if it ever comes to market. I like to go fast.:burnrubber:

Reminds me of when I was getting married and I had a s2000. The guys in the office used to tell me I'd be trading it for a mini-van before too long. Turns out I kept the car and got rid of the wife... but that's a story for another day. :)

I'm on my 3rd Tacoma. A 1998, 2007, and now 2014. If I'm in the market for a truck in the future, there's no reason that I wouldn't be looking at a new Tacoma.

So far, I would buy another one. It will be interesting to see how the Colorado does in reliability and everything though. The upcoming diesel engine sounds pretty good.
