the free shipping is on orders placed via Pelfreybilt on products that they carry by Transamerican, that doesnt mean free shipping on pelfreybilt products meaning bumpers:cool:

the bumpers arent cheap to ship so that would be one hella deal.

Yeah, I know. I was being facetious when I said that. I know I'm paying for shipping which is damn near $200. :(

but your going to be able to compensate for a lot of that expense by not going with OEM parts and paint right Ost?

I don't know about 'a lot' but yeah, there's some cost association that will be saved but it's not as much as you might think. There are some parts in the estimate that were quoted as replacement w/labor & paint which I'm going to keep and repair as well as some parts I'm going to source myself, mostly used. That's where a bulk of the savings is coming from that will be buying this bumper, some suspension components and more go fast goodies. In all reality I could do the same with the stock bumper configuration and pocket a whole buncha money but I've always wanted a plate bumper and this seems like the best opportunity I'm going to have given my frugal ways. :D

i know when i had my OEM bumper replaced and re painted it was probably close to 1K just for the bumper. I had almost 7K worth of damage to the front end of my truck and they let me keep all the parts taken off which was nice!!

Really? That seems kinda high. You can't get the bumper covers painted from the factory? They have other parts factory painted so I guess I assumed that was one thing that was too. Also, if I could find a Pyrite Mica bumper cover used it would save me a truck load as most parts underneath are fine and it was pretty much just cosmetic. I try not to think of that though I think of all the money I'm going to save by finding used parts and replacing them myself and see it as getting a 'free' bumper that way rather than how much I could pocket if I went back to stock look.

If you do order it we can see if they can ship our orders on the same pallet and save some monies. I live in loveland as well, ordered a rear bumper and ifs skid. Looking at a 10 week lead time

That might be something worth looking into. I'm talking to Satin right now so I'll check w/her since I have a dialog open. I was going to have them ship to my body shop to save money too (cheaper than residential address) so I can see if they can combine shipping and what the price would be. I would imagine that combining them and splitting the cost would save us both a few bucks. I'll let you know what the answer is.

what did i care how much it cost? i paid the deductible and the insurance company pays the rest to get my truck back to original condition. If your going through someone's insurance and he was at fault then you should be getting every penny you can why try and go for used parts if they are damaged make his or hers insurance company pay for new parts and put that money into the new aftermarket bumper and other stuffs!!

No, I left some parts out for legal reasons but the body shop has a fat check with my name & their name on it sitting on their desk. Whatever of that isn't used to bring the truck back to 'pre-accident condition' will be returned to me in the form of a check with my name on it. Make sense? ;)

Well, sort of. I'm having the body shop order the bumper so it will come out of that pile o' cAshe either way. It's just that there would be more left over if I returned it to stock, especially using used parts and self-installed where possible. Make more sense?
