But in all seriousness, yes, I will own another Tacoma. Already got my sights set on another first gen, older model with the 3.4, 5 speed manual, high mileage so I can get it cheap and build it into a wheeler. Then keep my 04 mostly stock for a nice daily driver.

I got my first Tacoma last Tuesday, third truck I've ever owned. Coming off of a 2012 WRX and I love it. The little pings, vibrations, noises, I hear on the highway or turning at an intersection etc etc don't bother me a bit. The Ford and Dodge I've owned were way, way worse. I would buy another one in a heartbeat, it does everything I want it to. I see people bitch about gas mileage, it's not much better than the WRX. I pay more for a full tank on the Subaru, nearly 7-8 bucks more. It's good to get back in a truck again.

    :rofl:Talk about going off topic....

Keeping the truck until I have no more use for it..... or unless the new 2nd gen Ridgeline or 3rd gen Tacoma comes out with worthy upgrades for me to trade in the truck :D

    What you mean??? Lol

I'd be curious to see an actual truck from honda. I've had many Hondas and Acuras and they've all been built very well.

I believe Chris4x4 saw the 2nd gen Ridgeline in person. He says it's looks nice. More traditionaly bed and not that slopping downward 1st gen version. Supposedly it's getting a 7spd auto but I hear unconfirmed reports Honda might look at putting a ZF 9spd auto instead. Also Honda is looking at making it a hybrid truck with goal of 30 mpg hwy being the first truck to do so. So I'm just waiting

If my Tacoma theoretically got totaled tomorrow (Lord forbid) I would do one of two things:

    - Go buy a brand new 4Runner (4x4 TE ideally)

    - Buy a new Subaru Impreza or Crosstrek, and use the money saved on a project.

When they throw that nice 4.6l V8 into the Tacoma maybe I'll buy another.

It would depend. If I wanted another truck for esthetics or a toy yes. If I wanted a serious work truck, no.

Eh, 4.6l would do it for me. I know it's kind of highschoolish, but I bought a 2005 Tundra with the Lexus 4.7l V8 and it is so nice to hear that smooth V8 bellow. Replacing the timing belt is a pain. 4.6l has a timing chain.

I work at a Chevy dealer and in the employee lot there are 5 Tacomas and no Colorados. I don't think all of GM's products are junk, but I hate the company. We have two 2015 trucks with blown up rear ends in the shop that we can't get parts for, because they are on backorder with no e.t.a. I've never seen a company that seems to care less about it's customers. So yes, I would definitley by another Tacoma. In fact I just bought my second one in August.

I looked at a 2013 a while back while mine was down for deer damage... I'd buy another but SR5 package and DCLB with tow package. At the time my '10 was worth 24K as trade and the payment would have bumped down to 76. and change per month. If Toyota brought the HiLux over I'd be down there pretty quick with my checkbook in hand also.
