Brake upgrade

Looking to replace my brakes on my 06 4x4 sport. Any suggestions. Would like to do some cross drilled with ceramics but havent seen any reviews

 

Cross drilled leaves room for stuff to get stuck in your discs...they are also prone to cracking (I've heard) under high heat/cooling cycles.
Slotted will help...Upgrading your pads with a good pad...like EBC and some good brake fluid is the way to start. Little bits, until you get the result you want.

 

im gonna say go with some slotted rotors, and some hawk ceramics. i have slotted s/p rotors, and hawk lts pads, and they work great. go here......

This would be a good time to switch to stainless steel brake lines too...

yep, stainless lines, slotted rotors and ceramic pads are what im running. I sometimes slam on the brakes on offramps just to 'test' them lol

Where did you get your brake lines from? And, has anybody tried using the TRD BBK for FJ's on the Tacoma?

 

got all the front brake parts from took a month to get the parts (they were out of stock on everything when I ordered) It wasn't urgent so I waited. others have gone to

I think the BBK wont fit with 16" rims and it's like $2000+
not worth it IMO

You could always go with a rear disc conversion kit. It is a little on the expensive side but very sweet. Here is a link:
