    What's up TacomaWorld.

Proud new owner of a '15 TRD sport, which I will be picking up later this afternoon. My last rig was a '01 Land Rover Disco 5 inch lift heavily modified, and a severe pain in my a**. It crapped out on me almost a year ago now on the freeway. Since then I've been driving my '97 ultimate 80 cruiser and can attribute that to my new toyota selection.

Being a complete newborn to tacomas, I have a few questions (sorry in advance, I don't like to search):

.Are there lifts companies to avoid?
.I'm planning on running 16x8 w/3in suspension. What kind of space can I expect under the wells, what size can I stuff under there? (nitto grappler or Baja)
    .Backspacing appropriate?
.My prior vehicles have been coil-overs w/ solid axles. I'm not familiar with leafs and IFS. If you guys have any tips/advice that would save me the headache I'd appreciate it.

    Cheers to our Yotas

Took me all of ten mins to answer most of my questions I posted using the search here.. You guys have a lot of good succinct info in this bitch.

I do have a concern though, I don't want to void my warranty so I will be shelling out for a lift through the stealership. The DSI shop they go through endorses FOX/Fab/ProComp/Icon. The salesman I spoke with specifically recommend ICON.

This will be my daily but I'm also looking to beat the hell out of her 4-5 times a year. No crawling.. all running.

    Looking at stage 2 ICON

    any foreseeable issues?

Read the Magnusson-Moss Act. Basically, the dealership/manufacturer have to PROVE that your modification is a direct cause of whatever the problem is for it to be a warranty denial.

I actually did stumble across that. If something were to happen I'd rather not deal with the headache. They could obscurely prove/suggest anything.

When they give you the OTD price ...it's really only out the showroom door into the warranty/finance office. I'd like to get my warranty's worth. :/

    Good stuff though! Appreciate it.

I have an 8 year 125k mile warranty, I know how how those shoes feel!

Damn.. looks sharp stage 3? 4?

If I go with 2 is upgrading to 3 as simple as throwing on a few new parts? or are the stages designed differently?

IIRC Difference b/t 2 and 3 is the aftermarket UCAs + std travel vs ext travel

    and 4 has front resis

It sounds like for you, you'll want a decent Mid Travel set up. So get extended travel and aftermarket UCAs.

IMO if you buy Icons and another brand UCA, like Total Chaos, you'll save A TON of money vs. getting all of this through the dealer

    Interesting.

Judging by the price of the coilers individually looks like the stage 3 is the way to go to obtain ext travel.

damn though.. 2,770 push thats quite a pretty penny

So you're suggesting I buy the pieces separate and use TC UCA's?
